One young dog and one old cats near downtown Roswell, GA
Introduction
We have been in Georgia since 2019 and like to travel occasionally, mostly to visit family but want to know our animals are being cared for like we would. Our oldest cat (Ferguson) , we have had her for 8 years, has the most trouble in our absence. Our puppy (Woolly) and orange cat (Steve) are just excited for the knew friends. We live near downtown Roswell, an area know for restaurants, coffee shops and bars as well as numerous natural areas and parks. Our animals are pretty easy to care for and will love your company while we are away.

Woolly needs 1-2 walks a day and some back yard zoomies; i.e. throw a toy one time and he runs himself silly. Fresh water, usually 2 bowls a day. He eats a mixture of wet and dry food for breakfast and dinner. He is pretty chill and relaxed most of the day. He is young and still needs to be watched so he doesn't eat anything he is not supposed to. . (Steve is no longer with us) Steve, the orange cat, likes to sleep and take short outside trips. He has an automatic feeder and needs fresh water. We clean the cat litter everyday or every other day. If he meows he wants vigorous pets while he's eating. Ferguson is tiny and shy. She gets pretty anxious while we are gone and we have to keep our bedroom doors closed or she will use them as a bathroom. She would greatly appreciate if you watched TV in the evening so she can come out for her once daily cuddles (she usually hides). She is a bit of a ninja and we ask that you don't open and close any doors without making sure she's not trapped. She gets fed up inside our arm chair in the living room to prevent Steve from eating it all. We check her food and water every other day. It is important that our sitter can meet our dog in our presence before we leave.

Melissa and Don have a beautiful home! They were very kind and accommodating with a clean and cozy guest room. Their cat Ferguson was super sweet and easy. Their dog Woolly needed extra care to help him feel safe, so we met them prior to our sit. It took a while for him to warm up, but with two daily walks we were able to gain his trust and get into the groove of things!

Don and Melissa were friendly, polite, easy-going pet owners. They welcomed me and my kitten Bobby into their lovely home and community which was in springtime bloom of colorful azaleas, dogwoods, irises, daffodils, and other beautiful flowers. Bobby and I had a large private bedroom. The resident pets were pup Wooly who loved going on walks and playing in the lush, wooded backyard. He enjoyed sitting next to me whilst watching YouTube court TV, haha. Kitty Ferguson kept a low profile but I saw her a few times and could tell she was eating well. This was a satisfying, fulfilling experience!

The house was amazing. All the amenities you could possibly need. There is sadly only one kitty now but she is precious. She's very shy and mostly comes out at night. If you're lucky enough to get a snuggle you're lucky enough. Woolly is just a year old, so still a rambunctious puppy but a sweet soul. I would definitely recommend this sit if you get the opportunity.

Was going through past sits and realized I never left a review for Melissa or the lovely pets - Woolly, Ferguson, and Steve (amazing cat name imo). Wooly is a great dog who loves a good walk and playing in the backyard. I met with Melissa before the sit started in order to meet Woolly and have him get accustomed to me. He barked quite a bit at first meet, but kept it to a minimum after that. He's a pretty sweet guy. The cats were also great, but you'll spend much more time with Steve as Ferguson usually keeps to himself. The home itself is pretty dang cool. It's large and has anything you'd need to enjoy your stay.
