Enjoy Farm life with our loveable pets on the river!
Introduction
We moved to a small town in mid Tennessee east of Nashville right on the Cumberland River where we could have some acreage and lots of animals. We call our place the little Zoo, because they are also our pets and we have them mostly for fun. The 10 acres we live on are mostly cleared with rolling hills, and 200 plus feet of the beautiful Cumberland River! that borders the back of our property. You will have full access to a 2-bedroom 2 bath house with a partially wrap around deck, spacious kitchen with all the amenities. Kithen opens up into a living room with huge windows overlooking the river through lush trees. Down the hall you will find a tv/exercise room with a 52” Tv. Lots of parks with hiking trails day adventures. All our animals are friendly and get alone with each other. Two horses and a baby horse, a donkey, a farm dog, outside cat, three goats (goats are negotiable, because two of them require milking once a day) so we can move them to our friends), chickens, chicks, two turkeys, two peacocks, a few ducks.

Country life on the river! Come enjoy our small hobby farm while staying in our spacious vacation type log home, with views of the river. We live on 10 acres, right on the Cumberland river! Chickens, ducks, turkeys and Peacocks, old and young. We also have a few goats and horses…. Oh the donkey… he will be your favorite! Super sweet boy! All this nestled 25 min from Lebanon and only 45min from Nashville!

If you’re looking for serenity in the mountains with a zoo of furry and feathered friends to surround you, this is it! We could not have had more welcoming and generous hosts, or more friendly farm animals! Anastasia was very communicative and helped with any questions we had during our stay. Leia the horse will give you hugs and Donkey will be your best bud. The poultry are hilarious to watch waddling around, and Mia the dog is a sweetheart. The pasture raised eggs are delicious too! A couple things to be aware of are that the animals all free range together around the house, and you will have to watch out for the rooster. Definitely don’t miss swimming in Dale Hollow lake, it is gorgeous! Highly recommend this sit, we made wonderful memories at the farm!!

What a wonderful retreat here at Anastasia and Jarrod's little zoo! They are genuine, kind people who immediately made us feel comfortable and welcome in their home. We took a week away specifically to spend time with the animals, and this could not have been a better experience. I grew especially attached to donkey, Mia, and the goats. Cheers to a wonderful stay and new friends-- animals and humans! ❤️

What an amazing time we had sitting for Jarrod and Anastasia's hobby farm! We arrived the night before our sit and were greeted by a delicious dinner. After having driven for several hours, it was much needed and appreciated. We were able to spend some time chatting and learning about the farm responsibilities. The following morning Jarrod and Anastasia went to the airport and our 7 week sit started. First off, wonderful charming and zen home. So many positive and relaxing vibes. Celina is a tiny remote town we fell in love with. It is a bit of a trip for groceries and what not, but no biggie at all. The peace and quiet was very welcomed. Sweet little Dottie is an absolutely adorable dog. I can't imagine a sweeter animal (except maybe our cute pup). She was always loving on us and playfully growling at our feet. We miss her so much, especially our son. Mia is also a loving and sweet dog. She is the farm dog who loves keeping an eye out for the homestead. We would sit on the porch and pet and play with her daily. Whenever we were working and taking care of the farm, she was right there. We took daily walks and she always kept us company. Love her! Lea and Traveler are two incredible horses. Lea was a bit shy initially, but quickly warmed up to us. Traveler is a big boy and at first intimidating, but we soon found out he's a gentle giant. Beautiful boy. Donkey is such a lovable and quirky nerd! However, he might have been our favorite. He definitely was an instigator, but was such a fun fun donkey to care for. I'm not sure who enjoyed the hugs more, him or us. Miss his mischievous personality. The duck, chickens, peacocks, and turkeys were so well behaved (except for naughty Tommy). Each morning and evening they filed in and out of the coop on time and gave us zero problems (I'm looking at you Tommy). Plenty of fresh farm eggs daily for breakfast. The goats were also fun to feed and watch. Shannon did goat yoga with them and we'd get a kick watching them run and jump all day long. We could go on and on but needless to say we had a fantastic experience. Only downside was we didn't have a chance to meet back up with Jarrod and Anastasia when we left. Our son had to be in Atlanta to leave for basic training so we were in a hurry. However, we can't say enough about the hospitality and experience we had. We left feeling like we gained two new friends with Jarrod and Anastasia. Thank you guys! Travis, Shannon, and Noah

Travis and Shannon were great ! We couldn’t have asked for better people to take care of our hobby farm! We were out of the country for a Month and a half. They were very communicative and kept us updated on any and all of our animals activities. They even have a TikTok page where they continually post videos of the interactions with the animals. They are also great at problem solving any issues that did arise, being far away in a completely different time zone this was a very comforting feeling. They left house very clean. Our transcontinental flight was delayed caused us missing our connecting flight and arriving home the day later. Travis and Shannon were so kind to stay longer and feed all our animals breakfast before they left. They are truly the best house ❤️ pet ❤️farm ❤️ sitters!
