Looking for an animal-loving house sitter for our 2 dogs and 2 cats.

Hi! I’m Tanya. Married to my husband Charles, and we have a 15yo son. My husband had a bone marrow transplant last year, so between that and Covid we have not traveled in several years- and it’s something we love to do! Especially with our son as he is almost 16yo and time is going by so quickly! We have a 7yo dog maltipoo Buddy, a 1yo dog Yorkie Mischka. We have a 2yo cat Pixie who is Indoor/outdoor, and our newest pet is a 3 mos old kitten “Lily”.

We live in a 2-story craftsman style home in a medium-sized neighborhood. There is a dedicated guest room on the first floor with adjoining bath, and 4 additional bedrooms upstairs. Laundry room with utility sink also upstairs. The backyard is surrounded by mature trees, with a deck, patio, and 6 foot privacy fence. The dogs love to spend time outside when the weather is nice (as do we). We are 5 minutes from Beaver Creek shopping center (Target, Chili’s, Chik-fil-a, Panera). There is a Costco, Academy Sports, and Starbucks with drive thru approximately 3 minutes away. Less than 20 minutes to RDU. 30 minutes to Duke, UNC, RTP.

Cats just need wet food once daily, dry food available all day as well as fresh water. Litter box cleaning once or twice per week. The cat pixie is allowed outside, the kitten is strictly indoors. Buddy- requires walks in the fenced backyard approx every 4-6 hours. He eats breakfast around 8am, dinner at 4pm. Mischka- requires walks in the fenced backyard every 3-4 hours. To be crated if he is home without sitter for more than 15-20 minutes. He eats breakfast with buddy around 8am, and dinner around 4pm.

We had a great long weekend at Tanya’s. She and her husband were so welcoming from the moment we arrived. Their home was very comfortable and felt like home to us. And their pets were sis adorable. Lily is the most dog-like cat I have seen. She and Mischka would tumble and play with each other. 😂 All if them got along well and were easy to take care of. I enjoyed sitting out back watching and playing with the dogs and watching Pixie as she explored. At one point, she seemed to be hunting lizards. Overall, it was a great stay. Thanks

The only downside to this sit is it is not in Raleigh. It's in Apex which is half an hour away in heavy traffic. The menagerie of pets are all very sweet in their own way, but it's a hands-on experience.

Tanya and her family were wonderful to sit for. She has the cutest bunch of pets I have ever had the pleasure of sitting for! They all got along marvelously with my dog Flossy & spent our days there playing & snuggling together. The home is beautiful, cozy & decorated well. The backyard is a peaceful oasis. The neighborhood is quaint & quiet. Communication before and during was excellent. 10/10 recommend this sit!

Jerry was phenomenal! We went on a cruise, which is a little “scarier” because we did not have the ability to contact our sitter while we were at sea…. But I was confident that Jerry would take care of all of our pets (and our house) and he did! The house was cleaner than when we left it, tidy, even laundry was done! Would not hesitate to use him again, and highly recommend him to folks who want to be sure their animals are well-cared for when they are out of town.

Carla and Russell did a wonderful job caring for our house, and especially our pets (2 dogs and 2 cats). They took them for a walk in our nearby park, which is above and beyond. We have a fenced yard, so the pups have a place to run, but taking them for a walk in the park means a lot! The pictures and updates were wonderful, including a concern about one of our pups ears - I know they cared for their well-being. Finally, the house was immaculate, bed linens were washed and bed made, dishes cleaned, it was such a treat to come home to a clean home and happy pets! Would highly recommend them! Tanya
