The house has a large kitchen diner and a comfortable sitting room. You will have a lovely double room and shower room en suite. From the house you are able to walk directly on to the labyrinth of the knowlhilll bridle way for lots of beautiful walks and access to local pubs. Henley is 15 minutes with a theatre, cinema and shops.

Lucca is given a short walk 1st thing before he has his breakfast. He then has tea about 5 pm with another walk. He is always happy to walk so more the merrier.

Nicola is a welcoming host and invited me to stay the day before so that Lottie (my Cavapoo) and I could settle in, and ensure our dogs were happy. Lucca is an affectionate, good natured Labrador and accepted Lottie immediately. They became best buddies and we enjoyed long walks and chilled days, rarely using the car. Our favourite walk was through fields and bridleways to the Bell Inn in the peaceful hamlet of Waltham St Lawrence. Both dogs have good recall, and most walks were off lead. Lucca has a very slight sight impediment which Nicola had explained beforehand, and I wondered if this was the reason he never let me out of his sight for long, running back to touch base and have a nose rub. This did not affect his ability to hunt out numerous golf balls buried in the hedgerows, and he loved to play catch with his tennis ball, as long as he could see which direction you threw it in! Nicola’s house is close to so many interesting places for those wanting to explore, but personally I loved the peace and tranquility of the setting and the beautiful interior she has created. I am looking forward to returning again in a few weeks.
