Very comfortable country home in the Surrey Hills (UK) looking for pet lover

Introduction

I am a retired Physio and my husband is an insurance broker, on the brink of retirement! We want to be able to travel a bit more, and my working grown up children are not always able to dog sit. We live in the lovely Surrey Hills and have a beautiful super friendly Australian Labradoodle, Darwin, and a fairly independent cat, Marley.

Home & location

We live in the beautiful Surrey Hills, 1.5 hours to London and an hour to the south coast. There are many walks and cycle routes on our doorstep so no need to drive to them (unless you wish). Our village has a great little shop which has been newly refurbished and sells just about everything to eat, as well as a local pub/B&B, also newly renovated. 2 miles away is Cranleigh with places to eat, supermarkets, a local market on Thursdays and lots of independent shops. Further afield are Horsham, Dorking and Guildford, all about 25 minutes’ drive in different directions. Our house is a 4 bed detached house in a quiet lane with great neighbours. We overlook the hills, and have a small garden with several areas to sit out in sun or shade. I have a greenhouse and a veggie patch which is a new venture so any experienced input is welcomed! We put a fab new kitchen in recently, and the house is comfortable.

Responsibilities

Darwin needs walking daily. We take her for a longer walk (1.5 -2 hours) in the morning then a 45 minute walk later in the day. She goes to day care once a fortnight in Ewhurst and needs dropping off and collecting. She has breakfast and tea, and asks to go to bed around 8pm in her crate. She is not allowed upstairs (that’s Morley’s domain!) and is very affectionate enjoying lots of cuddles and games. Marley is pretty self sufficient, and doesn’t like too much handling. She has daily water and biscuits, and a litter tray which needs changing twice a week. She loves to come and snuggle on the bed at night, but it’s always on her terms! I have a garden and greenhouse so some watering may be required please.
