Fun whippet pup in a lively city
Introduction
We are a couple in our early thirties who finally took the plunge to get a dog after years of saying we would. Before getting a dog we used to love to travel, play sport and generally live a busy lifestyle. We got married on May 23rd 2024 and want to take our honeymoon in August hence this listing has come up.

Our house is in the fun and vibrant city of Bristol. We live in a little village 10mins outside the city centre called Westbury-On-Trym with all the amenities one could want including convenience stores, banks, coffee shops, hairdressers, green grocers, restaurants, and parks! Our modern (4 years old) but uniquely/architecturally designed house is in a gated and enclosed private courtyard off the High Street with 2 other detached houses. It consists of three bedrooms (two doubles and the third used as an office), and 3 bathrooms. The spare room is where we would ask sitters to stay, and you would have access to your own master bathroom with bath and shower. There is an additional toilet downstairs where you will also find the open plan diner/ kitchen/ sitting room with bi fold doors out onto our lovely completely private and enclosed grass/decking garden with garden furniture (rattan sofa, table and chairs etc) and a BBQ for those summer months! Bristol itself is a beautiful city with so much to see and do! If walks are your thing then you've got the expansive Downs 10min walk from the house, Badocks Wood only 3min walk from the house, or Ashton Court a 10min drive away (plus plenty more!). Clifton Village and the iconic Bristol Suspension Bridge is also a must see when visiting Bristol and is only 10min drive from our house. We are easily accessible by both train, bus and car with the M4 and M5 motorway only 10min drive away and the closest main train station (Bristol Parkway) only 10mins drive away.

Our pup is relatively easy to look after. He wakes up around 7:30am to be let outside. He gets fed between 8:30am-9am He will then go back to sleep until people are up and about. We feed him again at about 1-1:30pm. He starts to get more active around lunch time when we will play with him in the garden or take him out for a walk depending on whether it is a week day or weekend. He goes for walks between 1-2hrs. He does need some run around time as he is a whippet so the long training lead can be used to allow this. He then has his dinner around 6:30-7pm. In the evenings he will sleep either in his bed which we put in the sitting room by the tv or on the sofa as he does love to be near his humans. Before bed we take him out to toilet and then put his bed in his crate. He goes to bed anywhere between 10:30-11:30pm when we go to bed. We lock his crate but not his pen. He is toilet trained so will go to the back door when he needs the toilet.

We had a lovely couple of weeks in Bristol looking after Aspen. Such a lovely gentle dog, we got to know an area of Bristol that we barely knew and enjoyed great walks with him over the Downs and woods which are all within easy reach from Lucy and Steph’s home. Thank you for making us so welcome in your lovely home, we were very comfortable and had everything we needed

We housesat for Lucy and Steph, and looking after the sweetest pup Aspen, from Friday to Sunday. Everything was provided and and all instructions were very clear. The location was great, with lots of local shops and parks. We really enjoyed spending the weekend with Aspen exploring Bristol. He is a very calm and well behaved pup and we had no issues at all. We would be more than happy to housesit for Lucy and Steph any time!

Really enjoyed budding with Aspen, who's my youngest every sit at 8 months old. He is very responsive to training and great company. He loves to snuggle up next to you on the sofa. Lucy and Steph have a beautiful oasis in the middle of Westbury on Trym village. Super handy to shops and buses. There are great parks close by and my favourite walk is through the golf course and into Blaise Estate. I did have a bit of an advantage as I lived in WoTrym village for 10 years. I have no hesitation recommending house sitting Aspen.
