Dog sitter required for 3 weeks, in Malahide, Dublin, Ireland

Introduction

Hi, we are the O'Connor family (Kevin, Norma & kids) and we joined this group as we are looking for an alternative to kennels for our dog Becca. We will be away for 3 weeks this summer and we would love someone to mind Becca in our home while we are away.

Home & location

Our home is a 3 bedroom terraced house in a small quiet estate. ON the ground floor there is a kitchen/dining room, a living room and toilet. On the first floor there are 2 children's bedrooms (one with a small double bed, and the second has a double loft bed), and a bathroom (shower over bath). The master bedroom, with ensuite, is on the top floor along with a study/office. We have a small back garden with artificial grass. It has a gas BBQ, a table and chairs. Malahide is approximately 20 km from Dublin city centre. Amenities in the area include Malahide castle and gardens (https://www.malahidecastleandgardens.ie/), beaches at Malahide and Portmarnock, and Broadmeadow estuary, all of which are great for walks. You can also swim at Portmarnock beach and at 2 other locations between Malahide and Portmarnock (Low Rock and High Rock), which are very popular with sea swimmers. all year round, despite the cold water! Malahide village has many nice restaurants, bars and shops. A regular train service runs from Malahide to Dublin city (DART, https://www.irishrail.ie/en-ie/about-us/iarnrod-eireann-services/dart-commuter) and there is also a good bus connection with Dublin city. Swords village is approximately 2 km from our house and there is a large shopping centre there (Pavilions), which also has a multi-screen cinema.

Responsibilities

Becca is a high energy dog and needs at least 2 runs/walks a day. She usually goes on a run in the morning (45-60 mins) and a walk in the afternoon/evening (45-60 mins). We are looking for someone who can commit to exercising her at least twice a day. She has 3 legs but that doesn't stop her. She loves chasing balls and anything else that moves! She is a very happy dog, friendly with people and other dogs. She is generally calm but can get anxious if she is bored and if she doesn't get enough exercise. She is used to having people around most of the time and doesn't like to be left alone for long periods of time. We have a few houseplants which would also need to be watered once a week.
