I had such a wonderful stay at Sue and Peter’s place in Singleton – the dogs were all fantastic, well behaved and a delight to be around. Sue and Peter were very friendly and welcoming and we managed to hand over things quite quickly even though it was a bit of a rush due to unexpected hold up on the M6, they were very understanding and kind about that. They were contactable throughout by text and happy to answer any questions. The house was beautiful, cosy and had everything you need. The huge garden was such a treat especially as there were sunny days, and ideal for the dogs to run around. Everything felt relaxed, clear and simple. There were instructions about feeding etc.. They were simple to walk around the village, the two that went out with me walked really well on the lead and there was a great loop around the fields/ churchyard to take them. The other dogs that live outside in kennels were easy to look after – all the dogs had their own delightful personalities and no trouble at all. The area is great to explore with walks along the river Wyre and seaside nearby, Poulton is a lovely town with shops/ cafes a ten minute drive away. This was such a lovely experience and I hope to be able to come again!

We had a lovely time at Singleton just outside Poulton-le-Fylde. All six dogs were wonderfully well behaved and trained. They all had their very unique personalities and were a joy to care for. George, the elder statesman has recently had an operation which means he has to be fed four times a day. Once you get into the routine it is very easy to remember, although we did set an alarm for a reminder just in case. Stanley, Lucy & Mavis are outside kennel dogs. George is half and half and comes in for the evening. Lily is also getting on a bit and stays inside but still enjoyed a few strolls out with our slow poke dog. Betty is an absolute darling with so much character and although an indoor dog she absolutely loved the chance to run with the big guys and chase the lure too. Exercising them is very easy as they have a big garden to chase round although we did take them out in turns each morning for a run round a local field. Being working Cockers they are excellent both on and off lead with great whistle recall. Sue and Peter were lovely. We met in the morning for a show round and they left notes with the dog information and emergency contacts etc. and Post It's with the feeding details. They also left us provisions for a meal which was very much appreciated. The house is very comfortable and cosy, with the AGA oven on and was very clean. We have never been to the area before so it was great to explore some of the local villages/towns and go into Blackpool.
