Quiet rural Pembrokeshire location with 12 acres of fields.
Introduction
I live in rural Pembrokeshire with a 14 year old Jack Russell. She is partially blind and deaf and needs to be in her own home when I go away. I like to take frequent short trips away and take her with me whenever I can. At the moment my house is being renovated so the photos are not very impressive. I will update photos when the house is finished in March. It should then be a nice place to stay! I am a retired primary school teacher. I lived in Swansea for many years but have recently moved to Pembrokeshire to a house that belonged to my grandmother. I like to go on frequent short trips to visit my children and get a bit of culture. Lily comes with me when it is possible but otherwise she needs the security of her own home.

My home is a very small one storey cottage in a rural location. It has its own fields to exercise the dog. It is a mile from the Llysyfran Country Park which has activities such as water sports, cycling and an 8 mile walk around the reservoir, together with a pleasant cafe. It is about 8 miles from the nearest town - Haverfordwest. There is a train station at Clarbeston Road but no public transport for the last mile. However, I can always do a lift if it helps. Rhosfach is in North Pembrokeshire so well placed to explore the Preseli mountains to the north, and to access the beaches, coastline and pretty villages of South Pembrokeshire. There is plenty to see in Pembrokeshire so it is well worth a visit.
Show more...Responsibilities
Lily doesn’t need the very long walks she used to have but she is always up for a walk. She loves the fields by the house and is safe there. She enjoys playing ball in the field but has never really understood the retrieve idea so balls get lost a lot! She can only eat the food provided. No other snacks. Occasionally she gets tummy pain and needs Buscopan wrapped in chicken! She loves people but is generally scared of other dogs. The main thing is to keep her happy, active when she wants to be and give her pleasant company when she wants to sleep.

We actually met Anne and Lilly the week before the sit. We we in the area so contacted Anne and asked if we could call in and introduce ourselves. Anne made us welcome and showed us around and we made friends with Lilly. The house is lovely and comfortable and clean with great views, there are some nice walks nearby, Anne did leave us some directions and suggestions which we found helpful, she also left us a bottle of wine, thankyou. Anne left clear instruction regarding Lilly too. Lilly is a lovely little dog, despite being partially sighted and almost deaf she is confident and energetic, loves her walks and playing with her ball. We had a great time, would recommend this sit and would be happy to return
