Introduction
Hey! I'm Faryal and live within the RTP area with my furrbaby Katniss. I work from home so Katniss is used to having someone with her most of the time and would prefer someone more of a homebody type of nature. She is used to having one person or a couple take care of her while I'm away. Unfortunately she is not great with kids or other pets. You will find a lot of cat-related items all around my living room and kitchen so yes I am a cat lady. I make sure the guest room+house is sanitized and properly cleaned before any sitter arrives so I do appreciate it when sitters also leave it in the same way when I return. I haven't traveled much because most of the time I'm worried about who can take care of my cat in a home she's comfortable in.

Voted Best Small Cities in America in 2013 & 2023! Perfect location that is safe and sound! You can hit up most spots in the RTP under 25-30 minutes! The airport is a short 15-20 mins drive! There is a shopping center and grocery store 2 mins down from the neighborhood! Shopping/restaurants are definitely all covered within this area! The main level has a guest master suite with a queen bed, small office nook with a water/coffee station. The second floor has a very cozy, homey vibe that I put a lot of time into decorating even though I just moved a few months back! There is a family/living room, kitchen, powder room, and a dining room. I even have an outside deck area attached on the second level. It's the perfect place to wind down or read a book. The third floor is where my cat's litter robot is that requires minimal attention, an extra guest room, and my office zen area that you're more than welcome to use to get your work done in.

I normally leave her at the most for 4-5 hrs max at a time if I have to be out of the house for a bit to run errands, etc. She gets wet food 2 times a day (breakfast & dinner) and a cup of dry food throughout the day as mini-meals. She does take some time to warm up to a new person and will be very shy/alert in the beginning. I don't know what she endured as a kitten till I adopted her, but she has had some trauma that makes her put her walls up. She's pretty lazy and enjoys sleeping for the most part, but she will enjoy playing if she's in the mood. She mostly hisses if you pet her in areas she's not comfortable with and does not like to be picked up by anyone new. If you're still petting her in an area she's not fond of then she will try to warn you by paw punch, and third time she'll scratch. That's normally her way of warning you. Hiss, punch, and then scratch. She does have an asthma problem and has an aerokat inhaler(similar to babies) that I would be more than happy to give details on how to give it to her and how much, when, etc...however she does not use it as much anymore.

Loved pet sitting for Faryal & her personable cat- Katniss! Faryal makes you feel very welcome in the house and is very responsive to questions and advice. The room is peaceful and warm- with little touches like a coffee maker, desk, comfy pillows and more :) It's a great bright quiet house, perfect for doing work from home. It's also quite close to hiking trails and good food spots. I would absolutely sit for Faryal again and have enjoyed keeping in touch with her post sit :) PS- ask her for wonderful cafe recommendations in the area

This was our first house-sit via Trusted Housesitters and we could not have asked for a better experience. Faryal was fantastic with communication and provided us with a thorough welcome guide which was very helpful. Her home is just as lovely and cozy as it appears in the listing. We were very comfortable in her "guest suite" which includes a private bathroom, walk-in closet, desk, flatscreen TV, coffee maker, and mini fridge. Katniss is adorable and quite shy but was very easy to care for. The residential neighborhood is quiet and pleasant despite being within excellent proximity to shops and restaurants. Highly recommend this sit. Thank you, Faryal, for hosting us!

Faryal's home is welcoming, comfortable and easily located to everything a person could desire. Excellent instructions for the house and for the very sweet and independent Katniss who decided we were trustworthy in a couple of days. She is the typical personality of being wary at first then deciding she wants your company. Katniss likes to play with her toys and carry them around the house yet, only she can get them out of her baskets. So much personality ! I learned a lot about the robotic litter box which makes caring for Katniss's personal needs quite easy. We also learned a great deal about the greater Raleigh area with botanical gardens, history and art museums close by- great trails and hiking in Cary. We were pleased to be chosen to stay.

Faryal is a warm and welcoming host who invited us early and made us delicious, homemade chai (with star anise!) before departing. She lives in a beautiful, comfy, clean town-home, with all the necessary amenities. When we had questions, Faryal, was very quick to respond via text/Whats App. Katniss, her kitty, is very, very easy to care for--with an automatic litter genie and an automatic timed feeder (no early morning breakfast calls!). Katniss warmed to fairly quickly, and did especially well when either one or the other of us was alone with her. She sat close while I worked on the computer, followed me around, let me pet her and talked to me :-). Did the same with Mark when he was alone with her. Overall, she is a gorgeous, sweet, very loveable cat! If we are ever back in the Raleigh area, we would sit for Katniss and Faryal in a heart beat! Highly recommended sit!

It was SO lovely to meet Prashant and India over video and even nicer to meet them in person. They're such great people to look after your home and pets! I was at full ease this trip knowing they were taking care of Katniss and loved the daily updates. I wasn't able to get on my flight Sunday night, but they assured me Katniss would be taken care of the next morning as I made my way back. The house was fairly tidy upon my arrival however there were a couple misplaced items in the kitchen and was hard for me to find initially. My favorite part was how I made them a cup of chai even though I had barely packed and Prashant gave me 2 really cool chocolate bars. I highly recommend these guys! They're very sweet!

First-time pet sitter, first-rate care! 🐾💫 Kelly came into our lives at just the right moment, and we're paws-itive she was meant to be Katniss' guardian angel! She was SO GREAT from our first call to meeting in person. Initially I was nervous about leaving my fur baby behind, but Kelly's warmth, joyfulness, and professionalism put me at ease. Her attention to detail and loving touch made Katniss feel comfortable very quickly. Kelly, you're a lifesaver and a true animal lover - we can't thank you enough. (: please come back soon!
