Wetherby Market Town on the River Wharfe with Bubba and Tiger!

Hi, from Adam and I. We live in Wetherby in a beautiful part of Yorkshire. I am a Director for Business Transformation which includes a lot of worldwide travel. Adam is an electrical engineer, he is a very keen golfer too. We love to cook, travel and of course take our beautiful two Shar Pei's, Bubba and Tiger for lovely walks.

We live in the lovely market town Wetherby in West Yorkshire which is close to cities and towns but we are also only a short drive to beautiful countryside too. There are train stations in the next towns (Harrogate, York, Leeds) and we also have a reliable bus network too. The nearest airport is Leeds Bradford which is 35 minutes away by car/taxi. Wetherby itself is a lovely market town located next to the river Wharfe with some great restaurants bars and takeaways, there are also lots of lovely surrounding towns and villages to visit too and lots of beautiful walks. You can also hop on the bus on the main road and travel into Harrogate another beautiful spa town with great shops, restaurants and bars. The 'Valley Gardens' and the 'Stray' are also worth a visit. We live in a beautiful four bedroom new detached property. It has a large enclosed private rear garden with hot tub and relaxing garden furniture and BBQ located in the patio area. You will stay in a king sized room with own bathroom and have full use of all the house too. We have a lovely kitchen which is the hub of our home for cooking meals and having drinks. This also has the 'snug' which is great to relax with the dogs and watch TV (we have SKY). There is WIFI too. We are well placed to visit the historic city of York, or the city of culture Leeds. we are fortunate to be located about a hour away from the coast and about 20 minutes to the beautiful Yorkshire dales and surrounding country side.

Bubba and Tiger (nickname Manny) are the quirkiest little brother and sister Team - they just absolutely love each other and are a truly bonded pair. They love cuddles and will come for tickles. Tiger will paw your leg for one and Bubba has the cutest smile too (you see this when she wants a treat). Tiger is more cuddly than Bubba whom is a little bit more independent. Tiger likes a fuss - we call him a 'teddy bear with a heart beat'. They will both follow you around the house 'true protectors' just to be with you and ensure you are OK. They are friendly with other dogs too. A morning walk around 45 minutes. Followed by their breakfast between 8.00am and 9.00am. They will just chill (they like to sleep a lot). They have there tea between 5pm and 6pm. Then a little walk around the estate for 30 minutes in the evening (does not have to be done every night though). They can be let out in the back garden anytime as its secure and a big space too for them to play and chase the squirrels. Then just let out for a final wee in the garden before you go to bed. They can be left for up to 5 hours in the kitchen. They have beds located in the house office and in the kitchen, they will also get comfy on the 'snug' chairs or the sofas with the throws on. They are also great on a much longer walk too if you want to take them anywhere like the coast or out in the countryside. House plants (4) water each Friday. Administer ear drops if they are shaking their heads a lot - but this is not often.

We loved our dog/house sit for Melanie and Adam ! The house and the dogs were wonderful. We stayed the night before they left to get to know them and the dogs and they really made us feel at home. We fell in love with Manny and Bubba straight away, such a pair of characters, they have lovely personalities, and are very well behaved. They were a pleasure to look after, and we enjoyed lots of cuddles. We were really sorry to leave them. Melanie and Adam have a beautiful home with everything you need and we felt very comfortable, they were also kind enough to leave us some goodies which was much appreciated. There are lots of great walks from the house onto the old railway track which the dogs love. Our stay was most enjoyable and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend this sit , it was a fabulous experience . Thank you Melanie and Adam, Manny and Bubba x

We had a great week with Bubba and Tiger in (an incredibly hot) Wetherby! We met up with Melanie and Adam twice beforehand and they were very thorough in their pet and home care guidance and answered all our questions. Communication with Melanie both before and during the sit was really good and we felt confident that if any issues occurred we would have no problems getting in touch - they were perfect hosts. The stars of the show were the beautiful Bubba and Tiger who are so full of love. Amazing personalities and always looking for a cuddle; they really stole our hearts! Very well behaved on walks, adapted well to the slightly altered routine due to the heat and they were a pleasure to look after. They are both such fun characters and made the sit very enjoyable. Our stay was extremely comfortable and Melanie and Adam had ensured we had everything we needed in their lovely home - even getting us some treats which were much appreciated. We highly recommend this sit, thank you again for making it such a smooth stress free experience! We had a great time and can’t wait to sit again!
