Dog-sit Corgis and Goldendoodle in a new build home w/view near Honey Bee Canyon
Introduction
My husband and I both work in healthcare. We travel periodically for work. We have three kids and they love to travel as well. We need a caring pet/house sitter for our dogs to take care of them when we are away. Our corgis especially request a dog sitter who will play fetch with them.

Our home is a 3 bedroom house with granite countertops, gas stove, front load washer and dryer, and two bathrooms. We have an electric sit/stand corner desk in the master bedroom where you can easily work, with full color-laser printer. The yard is fenced and is quiet. The neighborhood has a walking path throughout and is near bike trails.

Our dogs need to be let out to the dog yard in the morning, after they eat and periodically through the day. They eat two times a day, they eat in their crates because they will steal each other’s meals. The dogs need to be taken out to the side dog yard to poop/pee. Dog poop needs to be picked up promptly. Please keep the water bowls filled up daily. The corgis would like to play ball in the backyard once a day. Jasper would like to get some pats and sit near you. The dogs can be out in the house with you when you’re home and can supervise them. When you are gone or overnight, the corgis need to be crated. They are somewhat high energy and prone to getting into mischief. The younger one tends to want to chew stuff if he isn’t supervised. No plants to water or anything like that. We need someone to periodically pick up the mail.

At first we were disappointed that our sit was in Marana, North of Tucson and not closer to the city. But, we soon found there was plenty to do nearby. We found wonderful restaurants at nearby golf courses and an Italian restaurant right by them called Vero Amore that was cozy and had great pasta. We went on a 7 mile hike in the nearby preserve and also hiked in the national park that was close. We went to a concert in downtown Tucson at the Fox Theatre which was excellent and only 20 minutes away. Also went to a melodrama at the Gaslight Theatre. So fun. The dogs were not easy to walk on leashes but the dog park is at the end of their apartment building and the dogs loved to go there to play fetch with a tennis ball. The dogs were both sweethearts and we got attached to them. They were no problem. The apartment complex has a beautiful clubhouse with a workout room, free coffee and tea, pool and our favorite, the hot tub. We really enjoyed our stay and we think the dogs had a good time too.

Courtney and her family was very nice and welcoming. Dogs were really friendly and easygoing. Dakota has his age, so we did our best to kept him comfortable and corgis are just really energic and playful, so we enjoyed lots of fun with them. We spent just few days in this beautiful home in Bakerfield, so we didn’t plan any trips around. Just walks with dogs in the area and chillin by the pool.:) Thank you for this refreshing time with your furry family and thank you for your care! P&J

Courtney provided great and helpful information in the welcome guide about their home and all I needed to care for Berkeley, Sully, and Dakota. She also went through any additional questions I had after I arrived and made sure I had all I needed for the long sit. Throughout my stay, both Courtney and Brad were easy to communicate with and answered any questions I had in a timely manner. Courtney and Brad’s home is beautiful and in a great location. There are several grocery stores within a quick drive from the house and I found it really easy to get around Bakersfield. The fenced in backyard was a great space for playing ball with the dogs and the pool was wonderful to have to cool off in the summer heat. I worked remotely during the sit and they have a great office space to work from and the guest room I stayed in was really comfortable. Sully and Berkeley especially were always super excited to play ball each day and have a spunky, playful spirt. Dakota is more reserved, but always joined us in the yard sniffing around and enjoying some pats. They are all sweet dogs that happily welcomed me into their home and I enjoyed my time with them. I would highly recommend this sit.
