Hello! :) I'm Jennifer, a native New Yorker living in Raleigh, North Carolina, USA. I’m looking for a clean, thoughtful, and loving cat sitter. My home is a lovely, quiet sanctuary and my cat is a sweet, cuddly lap cat. :) An ideal sitter is a single person or couple who appreciates an affectionate furry friend and a clean and peaceful living space. Great for digital nomad! Unicorn loves when you’re around. She gets stressed when left home alone for more than five hours. About Me: I'm an energy healer and creative catalyst to visionaries for the greater good. I’ve delivered light transmissions for peace in the US, Central America, the UK, Europe, India, and Africa. I was a poet, editor, and writing professor in New York City for many years before moving to Raleigh to be near family. I’ve also lived in California, Arizona, and Hawaii. I love to travel domestically and internationally for pleasure and work. I wish I could take Unicorn with me, but I can’t, so I’m looking for a trusted house sitter to take care of my baby while I’m away. My Home: The condo is three years new, with upgraded features throughout, Google Fiber high-speed internet, and a balcony overlooking a pond and trees. The kitchen is stocked with dishes, pots and pans, a microwave, electric kettle, and Keurig coffee maker. The community is quiet, safe, and well-maintained, with a small workout room, firepit, and barbecue grills. In the summer, you can use the pool. The Neighborhood: Centrally located in the convenient Brier Creek neighborhood in Raleigh, NC, the home is in short walking distance to several restaurants, a large Fresh International Market, bakery, bank, nail salon, pharmacy, dry cleaners, etc., and in short driving distance to lots of restaurants, a coffee shop with outdoor patio, a movie theater, and shopping. If you’re looking for exercise, the immediate neighborhood is great for walking or biking. There's also a country club within walking distance that’s ideal for jogging. The home is 4 miles from beautiful Umstead State Park (trails and lake). Grocery stores, gyms, hot yoga, and a barre studio within a mile or two, and less than 5 miles from the Raleigh-Durham International Airport. Transportation: To get around most of the Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill Triangle metro area, you’ll probably want a car. You can either drive, call UBER or Lyft, or catch a bus. Downtown Raleigh (25 min away), downtown Durham (15 min), and downtown Chapel Hill (25 min) are walkable or bikable.

Please do not let Unicorn outside. She’s an indoor cat. Feed Unicorn three meals a day, and a couple snacks. I have an automatic feeder you can use if you'll be out during a mealtime. Scoop litter twice a day. Water two houseplants once a week. Take garbage cans out once a week. Leave house as clean and tidy as you found it, please. Thanks! :) Thank you for showing Unicorn love. She loves company. She will give you a lot of love too. She’s happiest when cuddled up on your lap. She will melt your heart. Thank you for understanding she’s a sensitive one. She gets a little overwhelmed by too much noise or activity. Please don’t leave her alone for more than five hours at a time, if possible. ❤️

Watching after Jennifer's cat was a great experience. Jennifer couldn't have been more helpful and left meticulous instructions, making everything simple. And spending a few weeks in such a comfortable, well-appointed place made the time even more enjoyable. As for Unicorn, she was such an affectionate cat and a joy to look after. Overall, I had a great time and would highly recommend housesitting for Unicorn.

Our first sit with Jennifer and her adorable cat Unicorn couldn't have been better. Jennifer was an exceptional host who graciously provided us with detailed care instructions for Unicorn and her beautifully appointed home. Throughout our stay, Jennifer's communication was timely and appreciative. The location of Jennifer's home is top-notch, particularly for out-of-towners visiting the Raleigh-Durham area. The community boasts numerous excellent dining options, coffee shops, and grocery stores within walking distance. Additionally, the home's easy access to the RDU airport makes it a convenient location for travelers. But let's not forget about Unicorn! She is an affectionate and well-behaved cat who was always eager to snuggle up on our laps. We especially enjoyed spending time with her on the lovely balcony, which Unicorn seemed to love just as much as we did. Thank you, Jennifer and Unicorn, for an unforgettable experience. We would be thrilled to care for Unicorn again in the future.

From my First Conversation with Jennifer via zoom, I felt her warm, loving and compassion spirit. Then meeting her and Unicorn the day before she had to leave, Great!! So Welcoming and Kind. Staying in your beautiful home and community with Unicorn was the Peace I Needed and was Blessed with Everyday of the stay. Unicorn was amazing!!! I honestly believe she was comfortable and attached to me. As I was with her. I loved communicating and updating you daily. Not because you needed it, but We wanted to. Thank you for graciously welcoming me into your home and your family. Thank you for being so detailed and thoughtful with your contact with me, about everything. Jennifer was warm, patient and easy to talk to. We connected before the sit via a zoom chat and she gave me very detailed instructions about the house and Unicorn so I knew what to expect which put my mind at ease. Her home is in a very peaceful setting and ever so lovely, exceptionally clean, new and welcoming and Unicorn is a very sweet, petite kitty who loves sitting on your lap at every opportunity and cuddling beside you when you sleep. The guest room is big and bright and you have your own bathroom as well. Jennifer was especially generous in allowing me to stay extra night because of my circumstances and I would welcome the opportunity to sit for her again.

I received several applications for this sit, and I knew that Patricia was the one to choose. If you’re looking for someone who truly cares, choose Trish. She is a genuine person with a loving presence and pure heart. She took good care of my cat and my condo. She spent time bonding with Unicorn, and sent adorable photos and thoughtful video updates daily. She even called after the sit was over to make sure everything was OK with Uni and the house. I love zeewoi. Being able to leave my baby at home with wonderful people like Trish has changed my life for the better.
