Hi I moved to the Algarve with my 2 cats in 2021 and I’m loving it here - I need to occasionally travel and though my cats love being free in the forest - they also love the company and affection from humans .

Hi I live in a secluded cosy mobile home surrounded in nature with views to the sea - the mobile home has all amenities 2 bedrooms, separate toilet and shower room and a well equipped kitchen . There is a washing machine and an outdoor platform space to eat outside with spectacular views and incredible peace It would be preferable if sitters had their own car as mine is in need of repair . There are buses . Please contact me anyway because I may be able to get it repaired or work something out. Someone lived here for a month without a car so it’s perfectly possible.

Feed my cats twice a day morning and evening - half a sachet of wet food each and some biscuits Check water level in water fountain Selfin has three legs but gets around very well , he likes being close and will lick you - he’s very affectionate and sleeps near me at night . He will be shy at first Yoda is also affectionate , she’s sensitive and loves her tummy stroked , she will often be out all night - they both come and go via the bathroom window which is left open .

The housesit at Sophies home was an amazing experience for us. Surrounded by beautiful nature and the two loving cats. Oh yeah, we miss them a lot... But we are happy to have had the change to meet them. We really felt at home during our 3 month stay, thanks to the warm & welcoming atmosphere. We kept contact with Sophie during our stay to update her about the cats and if we had any questions she help us straight away. I can definitely recommend this sit in any possible way.

I had such a wonderful peaceful time at Sofie’s place. Yoda and Sephin were such a delight to look after and her place was such a beautiful retreat in the Monchique mountains. She had some wonderful recommendations for the local area and I had such a great time in the beautiful Algarve. I would happily come back to sit again.

My stay at Sophie’s place was absolutely delightful in every way! Her little niche in paradise was abundant and beautiful, and she did a truly great job preparing for my sit, despite all the many things on her plate, and the fact that I was a complete stranger to her and traveling from America to boot. Warm and funny, she made me feel so invited and trusted, and her darling kitties were the very best company I could have hoped to keep! So very grateful for Selfin and Yoda’s loving presence, and to have found such a wonderful friend in Sophie too. One of the best experiences I’ve had in a long while - can’t recommend more eagerly, a house sit here if one comes available on Trusted Housesitters. ❤️🙏
