Rural home with dogs and horses
Introduction
We are a relaxed family of six who are looking for a sitter to stay in our family home and look after two friendly dogs, our chickens and keep an eye on our horses and sheep. We live on the Somerset Levels surrounded by fields about 20 minutes from Glastonbury. We are keen gardeners and veg growers.

Our house is situated in a small hamlet four miles from Langport. We live on a quiet lane surrounded by fields about 20 minutes from Glastonbury. The coast is a 45 minute drive. There are many walks on to the Levels directly from the house. We are keen gardeners and veg growers.

Dogs need walking for up to an hour a day (easily done from the house). We usually walk them in the morning but they are very flexible and will happily wait until the evening. They get fed at about 9.30 in the evening. Chickens need letting out in the morning, feeding and shutting up in the evening (about 9.30). Horses and sheep will just need their water checking daily.

If you are looking for a fun sit with a variety of animals to tend to, then Sarah and Tim's family home is for you. We had a great time with the happy chickens (thanks for the tasty eggs, ladies), friendly horses (Milo enjoyed his carrots), escape-artist rams (who amusingly set Milo a bad example by briefly breaching their inner defences :) ), and of course Willow and Daisy, who are both adorable. The two dogs are really well-behaved (be ready for how excited they will tell you they are about any imminent walk) and lovely company - Daisy especially loved her cuddles. Sarah was very friendly and always quick to answer any questions we had. All in all a lively and enjoyable sit in a lovely corner of Somerset.
