Seaside town cat sitting

We are a couple living on the Kent coast (UK) who like to travel but would rather someone stayed in our home when we are away to keep an eye on our 2 cats.

We are based in central Ramsgate on the Kent coast, a short walk to the harbour and beach. There are restaurants, bars, cafes, galleries and some interesting independent shops as well as the sandy beach. The wider area has over a dozen sandy bays and Broadstairs and Margate are close by. Canterbury is about 20 mins on the train. There are also countryside walks within easy reach. The house is semi-detached with a small garden. The main bedroom for use is at the top of the house and has an en-suite shower room.

The cats need feeding twice a day (a mixture of dry and wet food) and the litter tray needs clearing twice a day. If dry we would like the garden watered (hose available) and there are a few house plants that will need watering once a week.

I had a wonderful stay in Ramsgate. Jane was a kind and generous host who picked me up from the station and left me lots of tasty treats to enjoy. The house is really lovely and well equipped with everything you could need to enjoy a weekend in a seaside town. Roy and Jeane are quirky cats who mainly keep to themselves. Roy appears from time to time and will take a stroke, while Jeane is far more shy and is only seen at dinner time. Jane had briefed me on this, and explained their characters, so there were no surprises! I’d be delighted to look after Roy and Jeane again, and would highly recommend this sit to all.
