Traditional Gascogne house in rural SW France
Introduction
Traditional French stone house with modern amenities and direct access to countryside. 8km from local small cathedral city of Condom. I live here post-Brexit but have family in the UK and take small trips to see them. Would suit a sitter who loves the countryside and outdoor life. Situated in the old area of Gascony this is traditional France at its best.

Double bedroom with en suite for use by sitters. Between Bordeaux and Toulouse airports and near to Agen for TGV from Paris, Toulouse and Bordeaux . Wonderful walking and cycling. Wonderful food and produce.

Look after young dog including 2 good walks per day. Dottie is not to be let outside unaccompanied or left for any long periods of time. In high summer the main walk will have to be early in the day due to heat. Keep house secure and clean and water plants/garden and in season cut lawn on mower.

I thoroughly enjoyed my time house-sitting and (briefly) dog-sitting too for Sue. Her house is an unusual old property full of charm and is situated in a lovely district, perfect for walking and relaxing. We had the chance to meet at the beginning and end of the house sit and I really enjoyed her company. Her little spaniel Dottie is full of fun and energy and just - well, adorable. I would rate this experience altogether very highly and would readily do it again.

This was our first housesit abroad and we must say that we feel so privileged to have had such a positive experience. Sue is wonderful - not only is she an excellent communicator (everything was clearly laid out in her instructions), but she is easygoing, wonderful company and a generous host. Dottie is just a little gem of a pup. She is energetic, playful, cuddly and loyal. She is very well-trained, but has just the right amount of cheekiness ;) We are already missing her! Sue’s house and surrounds are simply stunning. We had so much fun taking Dottie up to the commons, and around the various landmarks of the beautiful Cotswolds! Thank you Sue, for having us in your home and giving us the pleasure of looking after Dottie. We couldn’t recommend this housesit more highly.

A great sit! Sue was a lovely host and Dottie, her beautiful springer puppy was a delight to look after. She really enjoyed the company of my dog, Dog and we had some entertaining walks in a variety of places. The house is warm and comfortable and has a secure garden area. I would certainly make a return visit.
