Introduction
We are a retired couple living in a single family house in a quiet neighborhood located one mile from the City Center of Woburn Massachusetts. Melody, our friendly 9 year old rescue cat, needs some attentive and playful company while we travel. We love traveling and in the 55 years of our marriage, we have visited numerous countries and over 50 of the National Parks in the United States. Also in the past 14 years, we have traveled over 150,000 miles in our RV in North America. Often we have house sat for friends and relatives. We are current with our booster immunizations, remain COVID free and practice safe COVID protocols. Because we are older and in an at-risk category, we ask that prospective sitters be fully vaccinated and nonsmokers. We have had such wonderful experiences with our previous house sitters through Trusted Housesitters and we enjoy providing as easy and comfortable a stay as possible to those who are able to help us.

Our home is a well maintained and recently re-decorated and renovated, 3 bedroom, 2 bath split-entry style home. It has central air conditioning gas-fired forced hot water baseboard heating, hardwood floors on the main level with a spacious living room with a non-working fireplace, formal dining room, updated kitchen with gas stove, microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator, and plenty of cabinet space. Den off the dining room has a new gas fireplace and TV. Den opens to a 12' X 16' deck with propane gas grill, and stair leading to back yard. The lower level has the family room with a flat-screen TV and is a walk out to the back yard, a separate laundry with a new gas clothes dryer and washing machine, a full bathroom and office with a laser printer, and Cat 5 Ethernet. One mile from public transportation, an inviting conservation and walking area around the local reservoir, close to restaurants, grocery stores, shopping, churches, and movie theaters. Located 14 miles north of Boston, a city full of history, culture, museums, fine dining, and entertainment. - Nice quiet neighborhood with friendly neighbors - Within walking distance of Woburn city center, with many restaurants and shops - WiFi – Comcast Xfinity with many premium channels - 3 TV's and DVRs - New Simmons Queen size bed, with powerbase. This room is typically where our house sitters who are couples stay. - Guest room with a full size bed with a new mattress and box spring. This room is typically where our single house sitter stays. - Super comfy deep couches and oversize armchairs in the family room and den. - 2 car garage, with driveway and on-street parking We have a Blink external camera system. One connected to our front door and door bell and one viewing our backyard. We do have occasional wildlife visiting our backyard.

To see that Melody the cat is fed canned and dry food twice a day, provide Melody with playtime and clean her litter box daily. As Melody is nine years old she is very friendly and enjoys having someone to play with her. She is also good at being left alone for a while and does well entertaining herself. Water the houseplants, collect mail, put out trash, and recycle. In the event of a storm snow and ice removal from driveway and stairs.

We had the most wonderful 5 week housesit with lovely Melody! Bob and Maureen are very nice people and are hospitable and generous hosts. We arrived a day early so there was ample time to get to know each other a little bit and show us around the house and garden and introduce us to Melody. Bob also left very clear information in writing and has made videos explaining how some devices work. We appreciated this as it meant we could ensure we did a good job in line with their expectations. Furthermore, there was a lot of printed information about useful and fun things to do in the area. This was also appreciated by us, best to get this info from a local 😊. Communication before and during the sit with Bob went very well also, he always responds very quickly. Their home was clean, cozy and very comfortable. We also enjoyed sitting on the large deck that overlooked the large, nice garden. We saw squirrels, some rabbits and even a turkey wandering around. The neighborhood felt safe and is well connected to major highways, close to shopping malls, historical sites, museums, beaches and harbors, and woodlands to discover. Last but not least: Melody is a sweetie, she quickly won our hearts. She loves attention and likes to be around you. She has the most special way of asking for attention, very cute. We would recommend this housesit and would love to return some time!

Great house sit! Bob and Maureen gave clear instructions and did everything possible to make me comfortable and ensure my success in caring for Melody. And Melody us a precious sweetheart. It was fun to play with the laser with her and watch her trick!! Overall great sit!

Such a lovey housesit. Bob and Maureen couldn’t have been sweeter or more welcoming. They created a great welcome guide for me to review prior to the housesit. We arranged schedules so I could arrive before their departure to meet Melody, learn all about the home and my surrounding. Melody is a sweet and independent cat who loves rotating among her favorite napping spots between meals. She does the cutest trick to let you know she would like a treat. She’s very smart. My housesit took place over the course to two months and I had no issues or complaints. Their guest room was very comfortable and the house had everything I needed to work remotely and care for Melody. Woburn is a sweet and quite suburb of Boston. Great spot for a day trip on the city, or short drive to walking trails in and around Concord. There is an abundance of shopping centers within a 15 minute drive. But I loved taking regular walks throughout the their neighborhood. I’d recommend this housesit to others anytime.

We had a wonderful experience sitting Maureen and Bob´s house and their adorable cat Melody. Melody was a delight to look after. Maureen and Bob were warm and very welcoming when we arrived. They provided extensive and understandable instructions for Melody and the house. The house is beautiful and very comfortable. Maureen and Bob gave us a very comfortable bed-and bathroom during our stay. We had a great time and we love to sit for them again. We can highly recommend to housesit for Maureen, Bob and Melody.
