Stay in the Queen City with a low maintenance pup!
Introduction
Hello! We're Hannah and William in Charlotte, North Carolina. We have one furry best friend, Lady. We have a new baby at home and love anything active and outdoors. We travel as much as we can with lots of hiking, biking, running, paddle boarding, scuba diving, and more! Our 11 year old Lady is not a huge fan of other pets and is stressed away from home, so we love having someone who can be in our home to love on them! She is a cuddle bug who goes wild for a walk! We enjoy sharing our home and love to entertain, so we hope you'll feel at home here too!

We live in a 5 bedroom, 3 full bath home less than a mile from the heart of Plaza Midwood with great breweries and taprooms, restaurants, bars, and shopping. Less than 10 minutes from Uptown and NoDa, 15 minutes from South End. There's a great walking trail just across the street as well! The pups love it. The backyard is fully fenced and backs up to a church, so there's great privacy. Nice back porch, gas fire table, and kamado joe as well as seating in the backyard. Most guests stay in the king size bedroom with a softer bed, wall mounted tv, and reading area. Peloton in king guest room that you're welcome to use! The other upstairs guest bedrooms include a queen in one room and in the other - a twin size bed as well an office area with large desk. A second home office with dual screens is downstairs. We have a lot of plants inside and out! Would love someone familiar with caring for all kinds. More books than plants as well and you're welcome to read any! No cameras inside, but we do have cameras at the doorbell, garage, and front and back of house. Of note, listing states no children, but teens familiar with dogs are fine. As much as we love little ones, we prefer no one under 12 for safety around the pups!

Responsibilities will be caring for Lady and experience with plants would be amazing too! There are quite a lot and a few may need watering while we're away but not all. Lady is our 11 year old. We always thought she was a malinois mix but DNA testing tells us she's a chow chow, pittie, shepherd mix! She does need about a day to warm up to new people and may choose to stay upstairs at first. As soon as she comes up to you for attention, you're in for life and she's the sweetest. She is not on any medication and is very much low maintenance. She would LOVE to go on a walk and may tell you so by nosing her leash and talking to you. We do allow the dogs on the furniture and she sleeps in the bed with us. She is just as happy in her bed though if you're not comfortable with that! She has been in my life for all but 6 months of her life and has my heart. She is not dog friendly and not appropriate for dog parks or restaurants where other dogs may approach her. Lady eats 1 cup of food at breakfast and dinner with a spoonful of pumpkin mixed in with her food.

Hannah and Will's place is gorgeous and very centrally located, and all Duncan and Lady want to do is be near you! Duncan LOVES a cuddle and would actually prefer to burrow inside of you if it was an option, and Lady is the sweetest, fluffiest angel who loves to give kisses. They are both quite chill dogs, and though Duncan needs a firm hand on the leash (he's a big boy who thinks he's lap dog sized), they are both very well behaved Thanks to Hannah and Will for the host, would definitely come stay again!

I had a great visit with Lady and Duncan. Hannah & William were communicative and helpful from the start. They are very considerate and opened up their warm and spacious home with no limitations and had everything I needed for Lady and Duncan. I highly recommend them. To Lady & Duncan: Thank you for sharing your love and your home with me and showing me around the neighborhood and for keeping me warm at night. Lady - you are a lady of valor, kindness, patience and understanding. Your mother told me that you will communicate your needs and you did so with grace and clarity. And Duncan, sweet, vivacious, curious, powerful and protective- - your snoring matches mine. Your game of trying to swallow my hand every time you received a treat kept me on my toes. You wear your big heart on your sleeve. Well done. You're a winner!

Lady and Duncan are the sweetest pups! Once they warm up, really laid back loving dogs. Hannah was always available to us for questions and left great written instructions/great guide on app.

Lady and Duncan are great dogs to sit for. They are very loving and well behaved. I really enjoyed my time with them. Hannah is very welcoming and has created a great home environment. I highly recommend sitting Duncan/Lady (and hope to do so again one day).

Emily and Johnny were wonderful with our pups and went out of their way to accommodate a meeting with the dogs before their trip. They left the house spotless and went above and beyond with communication and taking care of our home. We really appreciate them watering the grass we just planted and taking the puppies for lots of walks! We would have them back absolutely any time and are grateful this sit worked out for us.

Brian was an absolutely fantastic sitter! He was very communicative and wonderful with the dogs. He Brian went above and beyond to make sure the house was left clean and even offered help to me carry bags on my way out the door with a baby. All so appreciated! the

Katie was detail-oriented, kind, thoughtful, and overall wonderful with our Lady and our home. She asked great questions and treated us just like she would have liked to be treated. She was wonderfully patient with our fearful pup and left our home spotless. We would highly recommend her and hope to see her again soon!

Maranda and Keon were absolutely wonderful! They had great communication, left our home clean and tidy, and took great care of our Ladybug. They were patient, respectful of Lady’s needs, and she warmed up to them both quickly. The pictures Maranda took of our pup are absolutely gorgeous and I’ve been showing them off! We would absolutely have them back any time.
