Cornish beach house, two spaniels and chickens.
Introduction
Hello, we are a family of 4 with two cocker spaniels. We live in a beautiful beachside house on the north Cornish coast. We don’t have sea views but we’re a 10 minute walk across the dunes to a long Sandy surf beach. We enjoy, reading, tv, family games, surfing, walking our dogs on the beach, and yoga. Our home is set up for a family with older children. We haven’t lived here long so are working our way through refurbishments. The house is a mixture of newly renovated and ‘in progress’. Our bedrooms and living spaces are comfortable. Our kitchen is newly rennivated. Our garden is large with a Mixture of lawn, vegetable patches and wild areas. The location is private and quiet and is a perfect escape and our stretch of beach is never over crowded.

Our Home is located just a few minutes from the South West Coast Trail on Cornwall's North Coast. We are lucky enough to be able to walk to the beach from our home which is located on a private no-though lane. It's a tranquil spot in a protected area of special scientific interest. Lots of birds, butterflies and wildflowers can be found in and around the dunes here. We have a newly refurbished guest room with en-suite bathroom. Master bedroom with en-suite and two further double children’s rooms. Our Lounge is newly refurbished and our family bathroom enjoys a view across the back garden towards the dunes. Lauren is a Yoga teacher and there is an equipped yoga studio attached to the side of the house which has views to the front, side and back of the wrap around garden.

Dogs are fed twice a day and have at least one good walk. Chickens are fed twice a day and need to be let out in the mornings and shut in at night. For longer stays some plants would love a watering! Please keep our home clean and tidy!

All I can say is that I left a little bit of my heart in Hayle. Violet and Daphne were the best company with one led by her love of the ball and the latter by her nose (and appetite!). I will truly miss them. It was an oasis, a place to breathe and relax. My favourite was the outdoor shower… so lush… Thank you 🙏 guys. Aloha!

We really enjoyed our stay at Tim and Lauren's home. It's a super comfortable home with lovely sweeping views to the front and the dunes to the back. Unfortunately the weather wasn't the best when we stayed, but unlike my partner who was back at home with no electric we were cosy and cocooned! There really couldn't have been a better spot to see out storm Eugene. Daphne and Violet were a joy to look after, so much so that my daughter had a little cry when it was time to leave them. The chickens too very independent and easy, I really enjoyed watching them go about their business. The house is situated with walks from the front door through the pony field (who seemingly can withstand any weather) to the nearby beach, which really took our breath away. I adored the guest room complete with coffee maker. I felt spoilt! Thank you Tim and Lauren, we had a great stay. We really hope one day that we will meet the lovely Daphne, Violet, Pumpkin and Gloria again.

What a grand time we had taking care of Violet and Daphne for the weekend! They are an absolute delight to spend time with. Both are very easy and relaxed company at home and accompanying them on long walks through the sand dunes and the jaw-dropping expanse of the nearby beach is simply a joy. Violet's energy levels are quite incredible - I swear she could light up the nearby town if only her energy could be harnessed in some way!! But she never strays far from her accompanying hoomans, just whizzing back and forth, quartering the undergrowth and endlessly pursuing a ball given half a chance. Daphne is less exuberant than Violet but is also a delightful and very chilled walking companion. The two choox are super-easy to look after. They put themselves to bed each evening but just need to be locked in at nightfall to keep them safe from Mr Fox and fed a couple of times a day. Tim & Lauren's home is a fine period house, set on the edge of the sand dunes on a private no-through-road so it feels quite remote but is actually within easy walking distance of Hayle, with its pubs, cafes and shopping opportunities. The best of both worlds! Tim's welcome guide was very helpful with suggestions of local places to visit and the best eateries nearby. St Ives is about 25 minutes' drive and there are so many other beautiful coastal locations and unbelievably beautiful beaches and coves to discover nearby. We hope that Tim and Lauren will invite us back sometime to take care of their furry and feathered family! This was such an enjoyable sit :-)

Spent a great long weekend at Lauren and Tims's house, looking after the adorable Daphne and Violet. When I turned up for the handover the whole family were very welcoming and happy to show me around the house, with a fresh loaf ready for me to tuck in for brekky once they had left for their hols. The house space and location is amazing, lots of natural light and a calming feel to it, with a great garden to do a bit of yoga and bird watching (even had woodpeckers coming to the bird feeders). Daphne and Violet are low-maintenance loving dogs, both enjoy being in the same area as you, Daphne happy to have the odd cuddle and Violet wanting as many as she can get! Daphne is a bit older and calmer and will plod alongside you when walking to the beach and Violet is a bundle of energy who loves to chase balls if you throw them for her. She is also great at actually bringing the ball back to you ha! Had a really nice time with the pooches, so thanks again Lauren, Tim and co, and would love to see Daphne and Violet again in the future :). Ta, Chris
