House with Sea views and a lovely looking cat, both need to be looked after.
Introduction
We are a retired professional couple who travel a lot and are very concerned with security. Previous to retirement we were employed in Policing and the Hospitality industry. We are very considerate and respectful of others in our peaceful and residential neighbourhood. We are non smokers. We have both been triple vaccinated and had a boosters. We both have a love of animals and have taken on previous rescues cats. We are looking for a cat lover to care for our most recent rescue cat.. He is a very beautiful looking cat ... Foxy. Sadly he has been badly abused and is very wary, particularly of feet and can not be picked up or handled. he only has three legs. He does allow the occasional scratch under his chin and behind his ear... on his terms. We also have a large pond containing 3 very large Koi and probably 100s of gold fish !!

We have a large detached house in Portmellon, with balcony and a large enclosed and private garden, close to a beautiful beach and with views of the sea. It is about 3/4 mile from Mevagissey village, approx 3 miles from Heligan . Own transport is essential. We have an en suite guest bedroom,, on a different level from the main reception area.

We want someone to take great care of our very pretty but unpredictable cat He loves and needs to be around people, seeking some reassurance. However he does not like to be handled and does not cope well with children. We also have a numerous fish in a large outdoor fish pond, which need feeding during summer months and very warm winter days . Obviously it is also important to keep our home safe, well maintained and tidy.

Met Hazel and Geoff the evening before the sit and was treated to aperitifs followed by a lovely meal. Must be the best sit yet for house, garden and location. Foxy is a rescue cat and does not meow or purr much but we did get a few of each. He loved following you around and sitting near by. Our first visit to near Megavissy and will not be our last. Hopefully Foxy agrees to be looked after again! Many thanks to Hazel and Geoff.

Foxy was unwell when I arrived and Hazel and Geoff contacted their vet detailing their, mine and Foxy’s situation and organised an appointment for him. Whilst my first solo interaction with Foxy resulted in being bitten and scratched this wasn’t down to him or Hazel and Geoff but rather the reception officer not passing on any information and a new vet who hadn’t appraised themselves of his history. After I rang them to give an update on the visit and Foxy, they called the practice and made them aware of what had occurred. Thankfully Foxy did improve and in a very short time he was following me around and asking for head rubs and at least once every day we played games with his balls. Not every night, and not for the whole night, but several nights Foxy came and slept on my bed. Hazel and Geoff gave detailed instructions on how to interact with Foxy and if these are followed, he will delight you as he did me. Communication with Hazel and Geoff before and throughout this sit was excellent and they loved receiving videos, photos, and updates on Foxy. Detailed and very helpful instructions and information on their home and the local area were provided. Their home is in a beautiful location with great walks and scenery, and I was able to leave the car and catch the bus from Mevagissey that connected me to many different parts of Cornwall.

Geoff & Hazel are lovely hosts, welcomed us to their home with nice supper. Provided great welcome pack and gave us a tour. Their home is nicely situated and extremely comfortable. Foxy is absolutely adorable and very independent. He love to play with his toys and likes a treat. Would definitely recommend this sit

We had a fabulous sit at Hazel and Geoff's home looking after the adorable Foxy. Hazel and Geoff were extremely warm and welcoming, cooking us a lovely roast dinner on our arrival. Their house was very comfortable, well equipped and in a fantastic location. Foxy was a pleasure to look after. He was very independent and easy to look after and we definitely knew we'd made friends when he regularly approached us for head strokes. He enjoyed playing with his toys and had incredibly quick reactions when playing ball! We had excellent communication with Geoff and Hazel whilst they were away and helpful written notes in their guide about their house and Foxy. Thoroughly recommend this lovely sit.

lovely house-sit, comfortable house and easy walking to Mevagissey..Hazel and Geoff kindly gave us lunch and showed us around to make life easy . Foxy was a little nervous at first but soon got to know us . Would highly recommend this wonderful sit
