Historic 1920’s House near Belmont w/ Pool, Private Guesthouse & Two Sweet Pups
Introduction
My wife Holly and I have three kids, the youngest of whom is still in the "nest" with us. We occasionally all travel together, leaving our house and two small dogs - Ruby (a Cava-Poo) and Poppy (a *Mini* Bernie-Doodle) - unattended. We hate kenneling and prefer having someone stay at the house with them instead. We’ve had great experiences with sitters.

We live in a renovated 1928 foursquare between Vanderbilt and Belmont Universities, a short walk from Hillsboro Village restaurants and shops. Both Bongo Java and Fido coffee shops are a few blocks away, and a bus pick-up point is just one block from our front door. The main house has an open floor plan with a well-equipped kitchen, a piano, and a large screened porch. The pool house behind it has a loft bedroom up (with washer and dryer) and a full bath/shower down, with a den/tv area and half-kitchen that opens onto the pool and patio areas. You'll sleep in the pool/guest house and use the kitchen in the main house for more involved meal prep. The dogs sleep together in a crate in the living room of the main house. The pool is yours to enjoy, and you're welcome to use our Big Green Egg to grill out. All-natural (a must for the Egg) charcoal and lighter blocks are in the garage. There is a Sonos system with outdoor speakers you're welcome to tap into as well. Nearby, Hillsboro Village has numerous shops and eateries as well as the historic Belcourt Theatre, which shows a mix of indie and mainstream films. Midtown and downtown Nashville are a quick drive or Lyft/Uber away. We're in one of the most walkable parts of town, so enjoy!

You'll feed the dogs twice a day (first thing in the morning and 4-5 p.m.), take them on a daily walk around the block, pull the mail in every afternoon, and generally keep an eye on things.

What a wonderful sit!! I highly recommend it! Clint was a great communicator. He shared a video that was so helpful and informative. Their home and guest quarters were lovely. Everything was so clean!! And the dogs were the sweetest ever! They were well behaved, did great on walks, and were content snuggling and watching a movie with me. So glad I had the opportunity to do this sit. I look forward to going back!

This family is truly lovely in their gentleness and warm nature. Ruby is a natural protector with an elegant old soul and Poppy is a young wild spirit with a loving energy. Their differences are there but they demonstrate a compatibility that is beautiful. For example, Poppy gives Ruby face licks and Ruby sits her body next to Ruby in the evening; it is really heart warming to witness their overall closeness. The property encompasses and delivers tranquility and a world away from the world where you forget where you are when in it. I highly recommend this rare, yet sweet opportunity. I would not hesitate to return.

I really enjoyed spending time with Ruby and Poppy! They are very sweet dogs and fun to be around. Clint was very helpful and answered all my questions ahead of time and during the sit. Their home is in a perfect location in Nashville, and I would definitely help again in the future if given the opportunity!!

Their warm welcome upon our arrival and the well-organized setup in the pool house for sitters contributed to a seamless and enjoyable housesitting experience. Poppy and Ruby are the sweetest dogs who love to cuddle up and get love. They can get a little excited when another dog is near and bark a bit but otherwise they were happy energetic dogs who kept me great company. Clint and Holly were really nice and chill and made sure everything I would need was provided at the house (which was beautiful).

Nancy and Matt were absolutely fantastic. After a quick walk-through when they arrived, we left them the keys for *an entire week* and didn't hear a peep - they simply took care of our two pups, watched over the house, and explored the neighborhood and city like pros. And they went the extra mile - taking Ruby and Poppy on lots of walks and doggie excursions, to the point where I'm not sure the dogs were all that happy to see us come back. :) Put simply, I can't endorse Nancy and Matt enough!

Roneshia did a fantastic job watching over our two dogs and house for more than a week (!) She was self-sufficient from the word Go, communicated like a pro, became besties with our pups within minutes of arriving, and left the house cleaner than it was when she got there.
