I live in a condominium. Our buildings have 4 units each so this is not commercial at all. It is on the intercostal waterway. Water views from all windows. Sometimes see dolphins from my kitchen window. Very often manatees are viewed from my back lanai. I have one bedroom and a murphy bed in the den. Two full baths. A ferry can take you across the intercostal to Gasparilla Island. No charge for this service. We have three pools here, two on the mainland and one on the island. We have private Gulf beach access after departing the ferry to the island. Just a short walk from ferry to the beach. There are no businesses on the island but we do have a clubhouse there. On the mainland where the condo is there are nearby restaurants, a great grocery store, and a gas station. Also post office and UPS mailing center. I am located between Sarasota and Fort Myers, about an hour to each.

Jack is very laid back, not a barker. He loves to hunt anoles (small geckos) when walking. Dogs must stay on a leash on the condo grounds, but not so much on the beach. He does get hot on the beach so I don't take him there much in the summer. He is a great sleeper but does sleep in my bed. And he snores! He is not taking medication at this time. His diet is shredded chicken that I cook for him and vegetable included. He eats twice a day. He is very patient in the morning and will wait while you get ready to take him out - he will go back to sleep while you shower, etc. I do have lots of plants and would appreciate if you could give them a drink a couple of times a week.

Julie is an excellent host. Her home is beautiful, clean, and peaceful. We were able to enjoy the swimming pools (all three!), ferry ride to the private beach and fitness room. Captain Jack is the absolute sweetest fur baby, we loved getting to cuddle with him on our laps and in bed at night. We enjoyed our leisurely adventurous walks with Jack hunting for geckos, he kept us laughing. We would love the opportunity to spend time with Jack again.

Julie’s condo is fabulous! Her decorating style is so tranquil and beautiful….I loved snuggling on the comfy sofa with Jack in my lap and reading a book, or sitting on the back porch, sipping a glass of wine and admiring the view of the harbor and the little ferry going to and fro. The condo is so beautiful and clean, and Julie is so welcoming. And— there is a private dolphin show for you all day long at the seawall….it’s astounding! My husband and I took the private ferry out to their private HOA clubhouse and beach…..also spectacular! Also fun to make the quick drive over to Boca Grande and wander beautiful, quaint streets lined with gardens and Key West style homes, having a lunch or dinner out. It was a perfect stay and Captain Jack is just the cutest little friendliest dog you will ever meet!! If you have the opportunity to do this sit, don’t hesitate!

We had the most amazing time petsitting for the adorable and lovable Captain Jack! Even though Julie had to unexpectedly cancel her travel plans she still let us stick to the original plan. We stayed in her GORGEOUS condo for two whole weeks while she stayed with her parents! Seriously, her place looks like it came straight out of a magazine – she's got some serious interior design skills! Right from day one, Julie's communication was top-notch. We hit it off immediately and I can genuinely say that she's become more than just someone I petsat for – she's a friend now. Those two weeks in her condo were a blast. We swam in the pool went to the beach, enjoyed numerous sunsets watched the manatees and got to hang out with dolphins that would show up along the seawall. How cool is that? Captain Jack stole my heart, no doubt. He was like my little sidekick, always wanting to be on my lap and snuggling up with me at bedtime. And can we talk about his snoring? Do they make CPAP machines for dogs? He legit snores like a man! However, i found it to be hilarious and endearing! Julie, a massive thank you for being so awesome, welcoming, and trusting us with Captain Jack's care. This whole experience gets a solid 10/10 recommendation from me. I already miss having Captain Jack as my little shadow. I really hope to have the opportunity to petsit for Jack again in the future! ♥️🐾
