Our home is 7 years old in a quiet neighborhood. Great area to take a walk. We also live 5 minute drive from Florida Greenway (walking and biking trails, many miles long). 10 minutes drive you will be at Silver Springs River and Park where you can rent a kayak or take a glass bottom boat tour. Further away, there are several natural springs and rivers and trails to hike. There are a few lakes in the area, some with public access and also restaurants with lake front view. The city of Ocala has great variety of restaurants (many with live music throughout the week), speak easy bars, craft breweries, theaters, an art museum (Appleton Museum), varied retail stores, a mall as well as an open mall. The WEC (World Equestrian Center) is 30 minute drive. It is the largest equestrian center in Southern U.S. where you can go enjoy a horse show or competition depending on schedule, get a spa treatment at their hotel, enjoy live music at their pub, and walk around the grounds. An hour north of us is the city of Gainesville, the home of University of Florida and the Gators. Approximately an hour east are Ormond and Daytona beaches. Both Tampa and Orlando are an hour and a half from Ocala. Both have major airports if you are flying in. There is more things to do and we can discuss that in person. Publix, Walgreens, fast food, Walmart, gas stations, banks are all within 10 minute drive radius. Please note public transportation is extremely limited. There is UBER and taxi services. We would recommend renting your own car. Our home has a lanai with patio furniture and a swing seat. Perfect for having breakfast looking at the cardinals and our landscaped backyard or reading a book while the sun embraces you like a warm, cozy blanket. We have a charcoal BBQ outside which you are welcome to use and a fire pit sitting area under a pergola. The sitting area has strands of lights hanging from the pergola creating the right setting to enjoy the sun going down with a nice glass of wine and having the twins (Maya and Ziva) keep you company. You will have your own bedroom with a queen size Sleep by Number sofa bed. You will also have your own bathroom with a walking shower. You are welcome to use our washer, drier, and all kitchen appliances. Our refrigerator has ice maker and filtered water on the door saving you from purchasing bottled water. There is 65 inch TV in the living room with Netflix access. WIFI is available. Central air conditioning and heating. The house has an alarm system which we would appreciate you turning it on when leaving the house.
