We love living just South of Boston. Our backyard has a small private walking path with bunnies, wild turkeys and sometimes deer. She has tick/flea medicine but please check her after being in the woods. Several houses over is the side entrance of Great Esker Park. GEP consists mostly of a geological formation known as an esker (a winding ridge of stratified sand and gravel) formed by a glacier 12,000 years ago. It is along the Back River in Weymouth and across the river from Bare Cove Park in Hingham. We are fortunate our backyard abuts the 240 acre stunning estuary. The park features the highest esker in North America (90 ft), reversing falls, salt marshes, six miles (10 km) of trails, a playground and picnic area. Bird watching is a popular activity as osprey, great blue heron, red-tailed hawks, owls, and other species of birds are abundant seasonally. There are man-made shelters on the river where Osprey nest in the spring and summer months. In the summer months the park is used by Wey-Rec for children's programs. The main parking area is located at the end of Elva Road with additional parking off of Bridge Street (3A) and Puritan Road. Sometimes the Weymouth Animal Officer is in there and will write a fine if off leash. Less than a mile at the end of our road is Lane Beach, bathroom, lifeguards, floating dock, watercraft rentals. Able to walk her there in the morning before the beach opens. End of that street is Webb State Park with beautiful views of Boston. Nantasket Beach has 4 miles one way of soft sand. GoodGirl loves meeting strangers and at this beach there is a wide sidewalk with lots of people. During the summer there are free and pay parking spots. Recommend going early in the morning or after dinner when all are free. Bathrooms are locked when lifeguards are not there. You can walk to the Boston ferry from our home or park for $3 (?) a day. We will leave our pass for World’s End Hingham. About 6 mile loop facing Boston. Cliff jumping at high tide. Lots of local hiking options and happy to give further details for that and restaurants.

GG sleeps in bed with us. She loves cuddling. She wakes about 7. We let her out the front door to pee, bring her breakfast to our room and she should nap for another hour or so. Then she will need to go #2 about 9:30/10. We take her to a field off leash. 1 cup of dry food mixed with 1 inch Fresh Pet refrigerated food. We leave food/water out all day and she nibbles/drinks as needed. We recommend going to the beach at the end of the street for your morning walk. There is a Dunkin Donuts at the corner on the way to the beach or Starbucks a mile up the road. Please walk there then go to the jetty, back to dock and jetty. Morning walks always +poop/pee. She can be off leash on the beach once in front of the houses (have cookie bag to shake when you call her). She may go swimming all 12 months of the year. Will provide extra towels for your car. When you come home, please rinse/shampoo her if she went into the ocean/mud or has sand on her belly. When she get out of the car we say tubby time and she slowly walks to first floor bathroom and hops in tub. The sun sets at this beach and it can be ‘crowded’ with 4 people/dog and someone having a picnic dinner. A large dog, Sammy lives in one of the houses and will play tag with GoodGirl hiding at your feet when she get nervous or tired. She is always submissive and may pee when meeting other dogs. She always plays well with others. She prefers humans and often goes from dog owner to dog owner getting rubs at the dog park. Always have two poop bags @ the beach just incase. There are barrels at the lifeguard station. You would think she is tired after the fresh air but she loves to play for 15 minutes with a toy, tennis ball, ice cube with you when you get home. She may make noise before bed and if you have done bathroom/water then she wants you to play with her. We say go pees/poops a few times and she usually does it. Please tell her to sit and give a cookie afterwards. Dinner 4:45-5:30. +poop/pee walk after. She really likes to play fetch in the house before bed. We prefer a good morning and afternoon walk. Dinner walk is brief. Must walk/run her if leaving in her in house for a couple hours then take her for a walk immediately. We would prefer you take her with you as she usually wants to hang out with you and is a certified Service Dog with ID card and vest. Loves puppy stroller, works perfect when you bring her into stores/restaurants. When you are ready for bed, please let her pee on the front yard and she is good for bed for the night in your room. We do let her cuddle on the brown couch in living room if you would like to. There are some days when we go to the beach in the morning with her ball and jog up and down with her and afternoon walk in the woods so she is tired the next day and just wants to chill. She is fully grown at 42 lbs. DOB 12/25/2021.

There is really just ONE aspect of my sit for Kaitlyn that I must rave about in this review: 4 1/2 month old, GoodGirl! Nothing else matters! She is the most delightful, smart, playful, obedient and fun loving lil’ puppy I have ever met — GoodGirl stole my heart! Waking up to her sweet cuddles in the morning was everything! I just always wanted to be with her! She was completely amenable to car rides which added great moments to our time together. Adventuring around with GoodGirl to different beaches, parks and Petco was easy and so much fun (even in the rain!). Kaitlyn warmly welcomed me in to her home and GoodGirl’s life. She left detailed instructions for GoodGirl’s care and routines, and was easily accessible if need be. All was clearly spelled out in notes, texts, photos and beforehand communications. Good Girl seemed to know and anticipate her routines and what the expectations were of her. The convenience of the private back yard ‘nature path’ (figure 8) was a great plus for some of her quick potty breaks. These easily included the opportunity to burn off some of her energy with play and running, especially during the particularly rainy few days that we had together. Kaitlyn’s modest, cozy, family centric home offered very comfortable and peaceful sleeping accommodations (I was in the master bedroom). This included the use of her Peloton bike and a comfortable yoga practice space which overlooked the private backyard view from the bedroom balcony. Access to the beautiful neighboring towns of Hull and Hingham’s sites, restaurants and shopping are readily within reach and left me wanting more time to explore so much more of the beauty by these seaside towns. I am super excited to return to this sit if our schedules align in the future. Thank you so much, Kaitlin, for trusting me (your first THS!) with your precious GoodGirl! It meant so much to me.
