Friendly house sitter who loves dogs required
Introduction
Hi I’m a middle aged divorcee with 2 dogs, 2 cats ( and 2 horses) and live in a farmhouse in the country near Frome - I work as a media lawyer and need to go to London occasionally and need someone to look after my dogs and cats whilst I’m away. I have a big house with lots of room and a large garden

We really enjoyed out stay at Charlotte’s beautiful home with Lettice and Tawny. They were both easy to look after and loveable. The cats just did their own thing- we didn’t see them much. The house was clean, tidy and Charlotte was able to do a handover which was really useful. Would love to come back!

It was an absolute pleasure looking after Tawney, Lettie, the cats and Scrumpy. Lettie is a lovely dog enjoying her walks. Tawney likes nothing better than to retrieve a tennis ball. Very good dogs. A peaceful, secluded area and I'd definitely sit for Charlotte again.

Charlotte made us feel welcome from the start and we appreciated the offer to arrive early to help to get to know the pet family. Lettuce is super compliant and Tawny, whilst a bit cheeky at times, was loving and loved to play. Both were happy off the lead on local walks but equally happy on a lead on the walks to nearby Stourhead. They were excellent companions in Charlotte's comfortable and classy period home. We were advised the house cat does bite and so we kept a polite distance and ensured the dogs and cat were in separate rooms for sleeping as advised. Lettuce does need extra care for her skin condition but was happy to have a shower with medicated shampoo and rewarded us with licks and extra energy to chase sticks or jump in the pond in the large garden. The garden is looked after separately and the dogs are happy to be left alone for 2-3 hours so we could take a break to visit nearby Bath. A car is needed for this remote location but the characterful local pub is 5 minutes walk and serves gravity fed beers. No food but you can bring your own if you like. We highly recommend Charlotte, her home and pet family.

I had the most wonderful time with Charlotte’s beautiful dogs, Lettice and Tawny. Lettie is so loyal and obedient (didn’t leave my side) and Tawny is a bundle of fluff and fun. Charlotte instructed me on how to feed Scrumpy, her retired horse each day which was very easy and the cats just came and went. She has a beautiful home surrounded by nature which was excellent for walks with the dogs and for feeling away from it all. A car is absolutely essential though and the roads are very dark at night. The town of Frome is near by (20 mins) and lovely for snooping around its cute little shops and pretty cafes. I’d love to return and help Charlotte when ever I can! I will miss the animals a lot - I really bonded with them all. Thank you Charlotte for being a kind and informative host.

Charlotte is very welcoming and easy to communicate with. The house is beautiful and Charlotte provided us with everything we would need. Lettice and Tawney are very easy to care for, Lettice is a very kind soft Labrador and her aim is to please, Tawney is full of energy and just loves to be cuddled. Roger likes to be left to himself but will find you when he is hungry and Earnest will only come in at night when all is quiet so we didn’t see him. I was very happy to look after Scrumpy the horse who just required 1 feed a day. I can highly recommend this pet sit and hope to return again.
