Dozer the dog and Lazlo the cat are looking for new friends to sit for them.

Introduction

We are a jersey city couple who work in NYC looking for someone to watch our beloved dog dozer and cat lazlo (who are best friends).

Home & location

We live in a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment on the ground floor of a lovely building in the Jersey City Heights. Our home is very close to multiple busses that whisk you quickly to Manhattan, and close to the Light Rail that can take you to downtown Jersey City. It’s also walking distance to Hoboken. You’ll have access to the whole apartment, including the back patio. Out there is a table for four, a hot tub, and a hammock. The bedroom has a king sized bed. The tv in the bedroom and living room both have Roku with a bunch of streaming apps. Every kind of restaurant you can imagine is within walking distance. The bus or PATH train downtown will take you to downtown Manhattan in a matter of minutes. Or you can spend your time in Jersey City (or nearby Hoboken) walking along the Hudson River with amazing views of NYC.

Responsibilities

Dozer needs a morning, afternoon, and before bed walk. These can be as short as around the block or as long as you’d like. He loves to go to the dog runs at the various parks nearby, but is just fine spending the day lazing around at home. He eats in the AM and PM, though some days he’s less hungry than others. We like for him to eat all of his food. Lazlo is always hungry for his morning and evening meals. He will also try to get at dozers food, so when dozer is eating lazlo needs to be watched. Beyond that, he’s a zero maintenance kitten. Neither pet needs any meds. Dozer and Lazlo love each other and play enthusiastically. Sometimes they get a bit carried away and need to be separated. This happens a lot before bed which is why Lazlo sometimes spends the night outside of the bedroom. When we leave them home alone (which we try not to do for more than 5 or 6 hours at a stretch), Dozer and Lazlo can be trusted not to trash the place. The indoor plants need watering every Monday. If you’re not here on a Monday, no need to worry. The backyard plants are watered by a timer, so sit back and enjoy the backyard.

I had a wonderful stay with Dozer and Lazlo! I felt really at home, and the pets gave me a warm welcome. They are smart, well-behaved and get on well with one another. Brad and Annie’s flat is cozy, well equipped and well situated, and the decoration very tasteful and modern. I met Brad and Annie as well and they are very welcoming and warm people. I would recommend this stay to anyone, I am looking forward to meet Lazlo and Dozer again soon! Evguenia

Brad and Annie have a phenomenal little family with Lazlo 😺 and Dozer! The two are quite the hilarious pair, they're sweet, smart, amazingly unique and most important, full of love. Dozer loves being next to you on the couch and Lazlo will join. They love to play together. Dozer is very gentle with Lazlo. It's quite a beautiful brotherhood between them. Brad & Annie's home is absolutely beautiful. From the moment you walk in, it is clean, tidy, safe, comfy, cozy and welcoming. They're also fantastic at communicating. We would love to sit for them again. We already miss Dozer & Lazlo so much! Thank you for such a wonderful opportunity!

I had a wonderful weekend petsitting for Brad and Annie. Lazlo and Dozer are easy to care for with a simple food and walk schedule. Their home is also gorgeous and super comfy! Lazlo is the cutest and so friendly, but LOVES to knock things off the counters and will try to get at any and all food you put on the counter. I resorted to putting Lazlo in the bathroom with the litter box while I was cooking and made sure to clean and put away dishes immediately. While I was out of the house for an hour Lazlo did get into my bag that was up on the counter and pulled out my protein bars (luckily no chocolate!!) only to be gobbled up by Dozer. Brad was super responsive/communicative when I let him know of the situation and walked me through how to handle it. I would definitely come back and petsit again but next time with the knowledge that I shouldn’t leave ANY food items or important things on the counter because the 2 trouble makers WILL find a way to get to it.

Easy communication and pleasant sit. We had everything we needed. Taking care of Dozer and Lazlo was enjoyable and without any incidents. We had fun! Great neighborhood and very walkable. It was a comfortable sit.

Jennifer & Cendy really above and beyond. First, they organized a group chat to stay in touch and sent tons of videos and photos throughout our weekend away. Then, we got delayed in our return because of flight cancellations and a big storm. They offered to stay an extra night w our dog and cat. I dont think I’d have been able to get to sleep without their flexibility and kindness. Amazing people who you should definitely invite to stay.
