Hi. Thanks for checking out my listing. I am a semi-retired Federal employee who loves animals and wants to start traveling the world. I have two rescues (a cat and a dog) in my family and both are love bugs. Having pets in retirement brings a new found joy to all concerned because now we have time to enjoy each other's company on a regular basis. I work remotely two days week providing virtual training to Federal employees. When I'm not working I am exploring the Research Triangle (RTP) area of North Carolina. The food scene is outstanding and I’m slowly making my way around the RTP enjoying every meal. I love music and art, yoga and reading--and Bruce Springsteen! I need a sitter so that I can rest easy when I'm traveling. Having someone stay with my pets while I'm out seeing the world will give me peace of mind. I'll still miss them, but will know that they are being well cared for.

I live in a wonderful 55+ community that is close to everything. Raleigh-Durham International Airport is 10 minutes away. There are many excellent restaurants and shops in Brier Creek, which is a 5 minute drive. Downtown Durham and Raleigh are a 20 minute drive. This area also has an abundance of golf courses and hiking trails nearby. There is so much to see and do! Most days are sunny with a nice breeze. We enjoy a long summer, which can get hot and humid. Overall, the weather is agreeable.

Cleo and Jovie are very good eaters. They eat 3 times a day, but breakfast and dinner works too. Cleo, my dog, eats dry and moist food with a treat after each meal. She loves playing with other dogs and our community dog park is her favorite place to hang with her friends. She goes there at least once a day, if weather permits. She can meet-up with playmates there around noon and 5 pm. Cleo and I take a long walk in the morning unless it’s raining. If she doesn’t go to the dog park it would be great if she has two walks a day. She is good on a leash. Jovie, my cat, loves to sit on the window seat all day and watch the birds. She eats only dry food and drinks a lot water. She is a bit shy but will warm up to you over time. She has two litter boxes and would need cleaning once a day.

This was my first sit with THS and it was lovely! Karen is very warm and welcoming; she even helped me out by driving me to the grocery store before she left for her trip which was very appreciated as I had just returned to the States from living abroad and didn't yet have a car to get around. The petcare was not difficult at all. Cleo is a big lovebug and can never have enough attention. Such a sweet dog :) Jovie indeed does her own thing and mostly stays by herself until its feeding time, but super easy all around. The house is very nice and cozy and the neighborhood is great for walking Cleo. It's a calm and friendly subdivision where you'll get greetings from neighbors and also not too far from things all over town. Would definitely recommend!

This was my first sit with this company, and Karen immediately made me feel comfortable staying in her lovely home. She provided very detailed information covering everything one would need to know during their stay. Her home is in a nice subdivision with a dog park and a walking path. Cleo showed me around the neighborhood, stopping at the homes of nice folks who sit outside providing dog biscuits to passer byes! Cleo is a gentle sweetheart, so loving and easy to care for. Jovie, the cat, was elusive, until you opened up her can of food. Then she became your best friend! Lovely gardens abound in this neighborhood; I still miss my relaxing walks with Cleo.

Karen, Cleo, and Jovie live in a quiet community with a beautiful dog park and walking trails. Karen was quick to respond to questions, and both animals were well behaved. Cleo was affectionate from Day 1, and Jovie warmed up more & more everyday. There are trendy bars, restaurants and shopping centers just outside of this neighborhood. Great location!

Cleo and Jovie will quickly become your best friends! Very sweet and easy to take care of. The home is beautiful and comfortable, and all the neighbors are friendly. Great location close to a lot of parks and shops, but also serene for walks with Cleo.

Karen was very gracious in sharing her lovely home and leaving it very welcoming for us. We had a lovely stay with Cleo (so loving and sweet companion) and Jovie. Brushing and playing with both was a daily joy enjoyed by all. Karen left detailed instructions and info on how to best care for her companions. The location, community, home and pets were a wonderful Raleigh get away and we would happily return again.

Jerry is very personable and my dog and cat accepted him immediately. My dog will bark at newcomers but with Jerry she quieted down quickly. A very good sign for me. He kept in touch with pictures and updates, and was very responsive. I returned to a very neat and clean house too! Most importantly, my pets were is good spirits. I highly recommend Jerry for your pet sitting needs.

Kim and Dale are wonderful pet sitters. Kim is a fantastic communicator and very thoughtful in her approach to understanding how the routine should work. She sent daily updates with a picture. It was so nice to see Cleo enjoying her time while I was away. My cat, Jovie, did her usual thing of little interaction with pet sitters, but I could tell that she was well cared for because she was so chill when I returned. The house was in great shape when I returned too. My dog park crew also thought highly of Kim and Dale. I trust that you too will be very happy having Kim and Dale sit for your pets. I highly recommend them.
