Contemporary Cornish cottage & 2 hounds......
Introduction
We are Nick and Rachael and are looking for sitters in our cottage in rural Cornwall for our 2 dogs Totty and Wilf - a French breed of hound (Basset Fauve de Bretagne). They are very laid back and easy at home, but as scent hounds they can’t be let off the lead and Wilf does pull, hence we’d prefer a couple (or a single but strong person) to house sit as they can be challenging to walk on your own.

Our cottage is situated in a small quiet village, about a mile away from a shop and a pub. We are less than 15 minutes drive from both the north and south coast beaches, and around a 30 minute drive from St Ives, Penzance, Truro, Falmouth and The Lizard. We have off road parking, a wood burner, and a yoga room! We love our home and want sitters that will really care for it and enjoy it there as much as we do.

Totty and Wilf usually have 2 walks a day, and are fed twice a day. They sleep in their own baskets in the utility room and have no housetraining issues. They have a few funny little ways that we can go over with you, but nothing difficult other than as already mentioned needing to be kept on a lead on walks and Wilf’s tendency to pull. They are okay being left for a few hours but not for a full long day. For example, if you wanted to go to the Eden Project you would need to take them with you. We'd need you to water some of the garden and the pots if necessary. We also have an outdoor fish pond with goldfish - they don’t require much attention other than a handful of food every few days and topping up the pond water occasionally.
