Introduction
We adopted our dog Archie three years ago and we would prefer to have him looked after at home with our cat rather than taking them to a kennels or cattery. The less disruption for them the better.

We have a four bedroom home in a pretty village in a rural location. We have a lovely garden. The village is located approx 15 mins from Maidenhead and Windsor and 20 mins from Henley, Marlow and Reading. It is close to the River Thames and there are there are lots of lovely areas for walks etc. including the Chilterns. We are close to Legoland and also have a new garden room outside where our teenagers socialise and play on the Xbox. We have a very nice pub (The Shurlock Inn) in the village. We also have a home gym and peloton. Table tennis, darts board and small pool table. Outside we have a bbq and pizza oven and large table and outdoor sofa/table. We have friends and dog sitters in the village who could help out if you wanted a full day out without taking Archie.

Feeding animals evening and night. Taking Archie for at least two walks a day (min 3 km for each walk) and letting him out into the garden during the day. Watering plants if it is very hot/dry. Just keeping the house tidy.

Staying at Jenny and Jim's place was an absolute delight! From the moment we arrived, Jennifer made sure we felt at home by showing us around and explaining everything we needed to know. All the guides she provided were clear and incredibly helpful, making our stay smooth and enjoyable. Archie and Max were such sweethearts, and our dog had the best time playing with Archie—they became good friends. The neighborhood is so peaceful, with great walking spots that we and the dogs enjoyed exploring. The house itself is lovely, with every comfort you could ask for. We especially loved the gym and playroom—what a fantastic space to unwind and have fun! Jenny and Jim were wonderful hosts, and we genuinely miss the cozy evenings with Max snuggling up and Archie’s playful energy. We’re so grateful for the opportunity to care for your fur babies and hope to cross paths again in the future.

We stayed for a week over Easter in Jennys beautiful & spacious home. Jenny & her family were very welcoming & accommodating - we arrived a day early, as we couldn't arrive early on the day of their departure. The house was beautifully decorated, well equipped and sparkling clean. There were detailed notes left, which Jenny went through before leaving, and Jenny was quick to respond to any queries that we had. Archie the dog is great walking on the lead, and doesn't pull. Though he knows his own mind, and will let you know if he's not ready to go home yet! He's very sociable and well behaved with other dogs. He loves a good roll, and a snuggle on the sofa. He took well to us straight away and was so well behaved. He travels well in the car too. He was a pleasure to look after. Max the cat was also lovely, very chilled, but also liked a nice fuss. The village is more of a hamlet, with just a pub a 5 minute walk away. It's dog friendly in the bar area. It's more on a restaurant than a cosy pub, but the food is lovely. The house is perfect for Legoland & Windsor (both 20min drive). Henley is also lovely & a short drive away. We had a wonderful stay, and would highly recommend this sit.

It was such a pleasure spending time with Archie and Max. Archie is such a clever character. He loves his cuddles on the sofa and having a good sniff on his walks. It was really hard to say goodbye. Max is a sweet cat who loves a stroke and a snooze on his bed. We had a great experience staying at Jenny's. Sheila and Chris

It was a pleasure to stay in Jenny's home and look after Max and Archie. Archie is very easy going and once he's on his walk he is playful and likes rolling around on his back! He will tell you which route he wants to walk. Max is very sweet and friendly and eager for cuddles on the couch! The house itself is great, there are lots of things to occupy your time in the evenings, like the dart board and pool table. We enjoyed using the pizza oven with fresh dough from a local Italian store. Jenny was great at communicating and made sure we felt at home and had a great stay - thank you Jenny for your hospitality! :)
