Responsibilities

Hershey gets fed (hydrated) kibble twice a day with a few toppers. He’s not very fussy about time so long as breakfast is before noon and dinner between 6:30-8:00. He can be greedy though so he’ll probably always beg for more. He goes out about 3-5 a day. Once after each feeding and then usually once around 4:00 and sometimes right before bedtime. Hershey is house broken and is unlikely to have accidents unless very nervous or scared. He has been trained to use a section of my terrace lined with potty pads if needed, but should go potty outside the apartment building preferably. Either way his paws will each need to be wiped before coming back into the apartment. He is also trained to wait upon command and will allow someone to wipe his paws before he renters. Hershey does struggle with seperation anxiety quite a bit and is on medication in relation to it. Because of this, he might be a bit wary in the beginning but always warms up to others quickly. Hershey enjoys walks but doesn’t need them daily; he’s just as happy to be able to roam around on the rooftop terrace. But he does absolutely love to play with his toys and will let you know when he wants to :) All in all he’s a pretty simple dog other than his constant need for affection and attention which I think makes him all the more loveable.
