We are a working, married 50 something English couple who have lived in France for 15 years, we are looking for someone to look after our dogs and cat whilst we are away.

Our house dates from the mid 18th century and is a spacious 3 bedroomed townhouse with a large terrace and totally enclosed walled garden Our house is located behind the church in the centre of the village of Brossac, with Spar shop, bakery, bank and post office as well as restaurants, a beach 10 minutes walk away, 15 minutes from Chalais which is a small town with all the amenities and 20 minutes from Barbezieux a bigger town. We are located 1hour 10 mins from Bordeaux, 1 hour from Bergerac and 2 hours from Limoges all of which have airports.

We would expect the dogs to be looked after as you would your own, walked morning and evening although they don’t require massive walks, feeding and general loving, both are cuddly dogs. The cat comes into the house when he decides lol, sometimes stays in the lean to and just requires feeding morning and evening

We had a great time with the dogs and cat in the house, especially enjoyed the walks past the tennis court in the village! Would recommend this sit. Gillian responded quickly to the few queries that we had, despite having the flu… The stay was straightforward and easy, the dogs are super friendly and we were made very welcome in the house!

Gorgeous little village with a wonderful restaurant, only 50 steps from the front door! Scooter and Poppy were lovely, so affectionate and very easy going. So very nice walks to enjoy in the gorgeous countryside. Gillian and Nigel were very welcoming, with lots of helpful info on where to go and what to do.

I had a great time at this place. Gillian and her partner are kind and openhearted people. They showed me around, gave me all the explanations I needed and left trustfully. The dogs are super lovely, faithfully and easy to handle. Scooter and Poppy are super cuddly and follow you everywhere :) They love to have company, sharing their love and loyalty. They are listening and easy to look after. Pusspuss is easy going too. Most of the time outside and used to the dogs. They play with each other =) The beautiful old house is a nice place to be. Equipped with everything what you need for your stay. The guest room is lovely and cosy. Brossac is a nice and quite place to stay. You can do walks in all directions, passing fields, visit lakes, walk through a forest etc. A supermarket, butcher and post office are 3 minutes away. Saturday morning you can enjoy a small market with local products. I had a nice time with these lovely animals and would do it anytime again.

Gillian and Nigel are very friendly, they go out of their way to make you feel comfortable and the house is ready for you to stay. It is situated in a lovely little village and has a very pleasant garden. The animals Scooter, Poppy and Pusspuss are very affectionate, they love to cuddle and be close to you. Their eyes speak for themselves, they are very cute.
