Looking for a cat sitter July/August 2024
Introduction
Hello! We are Shaun and Anne-Marie, native Brits but living in France for the last 18 years. We love the great outdoors and spend a lot of time out and about trail running and more recently, splashing around in rivers and lakes in our new inflatable kayak. We are also confirmed cat lovers and have two new furry friends. With family in the UK we make regular trips away and know that our cats are much happier staying in their own environment with good company. We find the concept of house sitting a great idea. We live in a 1st floor appartment in a quiet area, with a terrace that looks out to the Salève. We are 300m from the swiss border at Croix de Rozon and by car, just 15 minutes to Geneva, 30 mins to Annecy. For local shops and amenities, Collonges sous saleve is in walking distance.

Feeding Izzy and O'Malley twice a day, cleaning out cat litter as needed. The cats are young and energetic and love attention and play, both with each other and although quite independent, definitely with you too. They are also super affectionate and will be happy to sit with you on the sofa when they get tired.

I had a great time at the house of Annemarie & Shaun with the lovely Izzy and O'Malley. The cats were a little shy at start but turned out to be very playful and cuddly during the rest of the stay. The house was perfect and Shaun showed me some excellent walks / hikes in the area. It is an amazing place for climbing and hiking but also to visit the city of Geneva and Annency. All in all highly recommended if you get a chance to take care of two fun cats and also have some time to spent outdoors. Annemarie & Shaun thanks so much for letting me take care of the cats and your house, I really enjoyed it!

I couldn't have asked for a more pleasant sit in beautiful Archamps! Izzy and O'Malley are adorable! As they are rescues, they were both a bit nervous around me at first, but earning their trust was so rewarding. They are two unique personalities - very easy to take care of and very entertaining to watch! Anne-Marie and Shaun are two of the most lovely, and accommodating people who made me feel immediately at ease and at home in their space. If you're a runner, hiker, cyclist, I'd recommend racking these twos brains for recommendations. Climbing the Saleve is not a bad way to start your morning, but they both have other recommendations to keep you busy! Thanks for everything!

Christmas with two cats. I have been extremely lucky to have Anne-Marie and Shaun as hosts. They are the nicest people you could ever hope to meet. Izzy and O'Malley have very different personalities, but are equally cute and delightful! O'Malley is very lively and playful, and Izzy likes to be stroked a lot. The location is excellent for visiting Geneva and Annecy. There are also multiple trails for hiking and if you get to the top of the Salève, you'll see spectacular views of the city of Geneva and the Alps. In short: this sit has exceeded all of my expectations!

Milly was a gem! She took the time to come out a day early to meet us and 'the boys' (our two cats Izzy and O'Malley). This meant we were able to leave with complete confidence, knowing that the cats and our home would be safe in her hands. Milly was super friendly, reliable and very self-sufficient. She kept us fully up to date with the boys' antics and the apartment was immaculate when we returned. We recommend Milly 100%.
