Nauchon is a typical Landaise farm house . There are three bedrooms , two living rooms , kitchen, shower room and bathroom .We do not have television but there is BBC radio , plenty of books to read and there will be deer and birds to watch. In the Spring there are Nightingales , Woodpeckers , Cuckoos and later on Skylarks . We have central heating and three wood burning stoves . There are some lovely walks into the forest from the house, and plenty of maps and books if you want to discover other walks or cycle paths in the area. There are some beautiful historic towns to visit with weekly markets. The spa town of Barbotan is just up the road, There are some fishing lakes nearby . The Pyrenees and the Atlantic coast with stretches of golden sand and spectacular breakers are a scenic two hour drive away: or of course you can just sit in the garden and enjoy the peace and quiet and at night the wonderful star filled skies.
