Two lovely cats would occasionally like some company in their quiet rural home.
Introduction
Hi, we moved to Balintore a year ago with our two cats. The house is in a beautiful and peaceful location with lovely views, fabulous walks and plenty of wildlife. As we still have links in the South of England, we occasionally need someone to come and keep the cats company and to make sure they don't run out of food. They are really friendly and quite self sufficient, so this shouldn't be too demanding. They have a cat flap and are allowed out, but we keep them in at night. The cat flap is set with a curfew, it automatically opens in the morning and sets to 'in only' in the evening, so not too much monitoring needed. Once they get to know people they are really good company, and often come in just for a chat and a stroke.

Wester Balintore is about 8 miles from Kirriemuir down a beautiful small road. Our house is on a track off this road, and is very quiet and peaceful. There are endless walks to be done from the house and wherever you go, the views are incredible. As we are in a rural location, sitters will definitely need their own car.

The cats really just need food, water and a clean litter box. They are also quite talkative and enjoy a good conversation now and then. Rhu quite likes sitting on people once he has got to know them. Schroeder likes pouncing on things, mainly shoe laces, and roaring about the place. They spend a lot of time chasing each other at high speed.

Absolutely loved this sit. From our very first contact Lucy has been amazing at communicating with us. On arrival we had a lovely welcome with a tour around the most beautiful of homes and provided with a lovely notebook of useful information and great cafe recommendations. We felt very relaxed in Lucy and Steve's home and we had everything we needed (and more) to make it a real home from home experience. Lucy and Steve had thought of everything and we had been provided with a lovely welcome basket which we thoroughly enjoyed during our stay. The home is simply delightful. A beautiful sun room to relax and play board games in whilst admiring the spectacular views. We loved having the lambs from the adjoining field drop by to say hello in the garden and binoculars are a must for the huge array of wildlife. Onto the boys Rhu and Schroeder who are the easiest of pets to have around. The boys are happy to chill in their beds and let themselves in and out through their electronic cat flap (keeps them in at night) but do like the occasional fuss which was usually early evening. The boys are absolutely no bother and found a place in both our hearts. Our only negative about this sit is that it came to an end. We would be delighted if Lucy, Steve, Rhu and Schroeder would ask us to sit again; we'd go back in a heartbeat .
