We live one mile (20 minute walk) from downtown Staunton, which features beautiful historic architecture, as well as great restaurants, theaters, and other cultural offerings. We're also within walking distance of two great parks: Gypsy Hill and Montgomery Hall. Shenandoah Valley is a gorgeous place to visit any time of year. There are endless hiking, biking and water activities. There are many caverns and festivals as well. We're also 20 minutes from Waynesboro, 35 minutes from Harrisonburg and 40 minutes from Charlottesville. Richmond is an hour-and-a-half east and Roanoke is an hour-and-a-half west.

Our two cats, which require minimal work, will need to be taken care of every time we're out of town. They'll need to be fed twice daily: in the morning and right before bed. They love to cuddle. They'll sleep with you every night or cuddle with you while you are laying on the couch. We just moved to this area so we are trying to keep them inside as much as possible. Our dogs -Bucklee and Dottie need to be fed twice daily: once in the morning, once at night. They can be left alone at home for up to eight(ish) hours. They will need to be walked at least once a day. We have a small fenced in yard they can be let out in. Dottie needs to be watched. Dottie is energetic, yet smart and sweet, and she knows when to calm down. Bucklee, is extremely laid back all the time.

This sit is in a great house with a comfortable bed, a sunroom with scenery, and a huge yard for the dogs. It's in such a beautiful valley close to Asheville, which is a very cool + hipster town. Michael and Caitlin's 3 dogs and 2 cats are all very fun and friendly, and they range from excitable and energetic to relaxed and happy - and they all love attention! Michael and Caitlin were very chill and great communicators beforehand and during the sit. I'd highly recommend!

Housesitting Michael and Caitlin's family of fur babies was wonderful. I housesat for Michael and Caitlin in their previous house so leaving information about it will not be helpful. What I can say though, is they left the space clean, cozy, and comfortable for me! They were(ARE!) super sweet, generous, helpful, and communicative. There was an issue with electricity going out in the kitchen and when I told them about it, they had their electrician over in no time to fix it! I thoroughly enjoyed all the animals! Scottie and Miles were a piece of cake. They just wanted calm cuddle time with me away from the dogs haha and to be able to run around outside. Meanwhile the dogs were loads of fun. They each have very unique personalities and it was hilarious to watch them play. While I can say I never was a super huge fan of small dogs before Dottie, she changed me forever. I completely fell in love with her bossy, mischievous, cute antics (like sliding down Bucklee's back for kicks... sitting on the cats' heads when they wouldn't wrestle.. or sleeping in between my feet whenever I was washing dishes or getting ready at the mirror ^____^ ). Bucklee is super chill and just wants all the love. Willow is ready for adventure at every turn and is very energetic and has the happiest smile. They were a full, fun, house. I would definitely recommend Michael and Caitlin's crew and can't wait to check out their new place myself someday! <3 Lydia O.

Michael and Caitlin's home was cozy and comfortable. The dogs were a delight and so easy to care for, well-trained, easy-going, and great personalities. They loved snuggling on the couch and in the bed. Luckily all the beds in the house are king size, so lots of room for 2 loving dogs and the cats that sometimes also wanted to be included. The house is nestled in the trees with great privacy and quiet. Walking along the roads in their neighborhood provided some beautiful views of the Smoky Mountains. The hot tub was warm and conveniently located on the deck. Caitlin responded quickly and kindly to any questions. The neighbors were welcoming. This is a great location if you want to explore the Blue Ridge Parkway and the Smoky Mountain National Park. It is faster to get to some trails than it is to get to the grocery store!! This is a sweet and enjoyable sit.

They took excellent care of our home and our pets while we were away for a couple days. I'd highly recommend them for anyone looking for a reliable house/pet sitter.
