Lucas and I are from England and currently living in Connecticut. Lucas works in advertising and I used to work as a Doctor in UK. We love to travel so we need a sitter to enjoy our house and dogs while we are away!

The Property: A spacious four bedroom house on a quiet street, close to Litchfield historic town. Our property is very private set on 4.5 acres with a swimming pool, hot tub and outdoor shower as well as a deck, bbq and firepits. The home has a sun filled, open plan kitchen which sweeps through into the lounge and dining room areas. The four bedrooms all have double beds, two have en-suite bathrooms and there is a separate TV viewing den. Internet is super high speed internet throughout the house. Sitters are free to stay wherever they choose in the house. Things to do in the area: Litchfield Town (2 minutes) has multiple restaurants and shops worth visiting. Nature lovers can take advantage of the wonderful Litchfield Hills area where walking / cycling, horse riding trails are everywhere. There are multiple lakes in the area worth visiting and not forgetting there are a myriad of local food & wine producers in every direction.

I would like the sitter to leave out food for the dogs and water. Also if they can be let out in the morning and every 3-4 hours after. Last time at 10pm. In the summer it would be great if you could water the vegetable patch.

I thoroughly enjoyed this sit! Tilly, Winston, and Enzo are very affectionate and fun to look after. Gail and Lucas were very accommodating and made me feel so welcome in their home. I appreciated the shared suggestions about places to explore in the area (natural areas, bakeries, incredible ice cream shop, local old cinema). Would highly recommend this sit!

We thoroughly enjoyed house/pet sitting for Gail and Lucas! What a wonderful family, home and location. Gail and Lucas were so hospitable and invited us for a lovely lunch before they departed. A cool couple indeed. The stay was peaceful even with 3 pups to take care of. Set in the Berkshires of northern Connecticut, it was a welcome and restful stay. The home is very well appointed, the pool was refreshing and the outdoor fireplace was perfect for those cool June evenings (and for making s'mores). But, the sweetest part of the stay were the 3 dogs: Enzo, Winston, & Tilly. The yard is large enough and fenced in so they can run freely and play. Winston is the young one, so my husband had fun "playing frisbee" with him each day. Each one was loveable and we wanted to take them all home with us. Unfortunately, that wasn't the part of the deal ;) Do not hesitate on this sit if the opportunity arises! I do hope they ask us back at some point in the future.
