Beach Life with Fritz and Herbie in the Outer Banks North Carolina

Hello we are Mark and Trudi Giuliani. We are retire couple celebrating 37 years of marriage. We are original from Pennsylvania outside of Philadelphia now living in the Outer Banks, North Carolina full time. We love all things related to life in OBX. We are into beach life, gardening, birding, kayaking, paddle boarding and dinning out. We live in an extremely desirable vacation destination with tons of restaurants from fresh caught seafood to North Carolina barbecue and anything else one desires. We are close to multiple 18 hole golf courses as well as mini golf. We are located by Wright Brothers Memorial Park, the birth place to first flight.

We live in Kill Devil Hills North Carolina. The Outer Banks has over 175 miles of coast line. Our home is fortunately sounded by water. We are located approximately four blocks from the ocean and one block from the sound. Our guest will have access to a surfboard, kayaks, paddle boards, beach cart and chairs. To take advantage of the over 12 miles of designated bike paths we also have 2 electric bikes. We are advite gardeners. Our property is a semitropical oasis. Our guest will enjoy soaking in a large hot tub under multiple palm trees. We have plenty of outdoor seating, along with a Blackstone Griddle and a Weber Charcoal Grill for cooking outdoors. Our home has three bedrooms, two bathrooms, outdoor shower and a screened in porch. We have wifi, cable TV, Netflix, Amazon Prime, Britbox, and Peacock available in the livingroom and all bedrooms.

We are looking for loving and caring individuals to take care of our fur babies. Our babies sleep every night with us in bed and need lots of cuddling. Responsibilities include feeding three times a day, walking Fritz, ensuring plenty of potty breaks for Fritz. Cleaning Herbie's litter box daily. Water potted plants, take in mail, maintain hot tub, maintain wild bird feeders including hummingbird feeders.

Staying at Mark and Trudi’s lovely home was a fabulous experience! Their home is decorated beautifully, super comfortable and in an amazing location. The most beautiful sunsets on the sound - right at the end of their street - were a special treat. Their two boys - Herbie the talking cat (yes he yelled out Hellooo numerous times) and Fritz the adorable, loveable, cuddly little dachshund were so much fun to be with. The personalities on these two are extremely entertaining and we enjoyed watching them play/wrestle. Fritz really enjoyed his early morning walks on the nearby bike path each day. Mark was kind enough to leave us his Jeep to use during our stay and we thoroughly appreciated that and enjoyed it! Meeting both Mark and Trudi was a lovely experience - they are both warm and friendly and we would love the opportunity to spend time with their little guys again in the future!

Mark and Trudi have a beautiful home in a very quiet and convenient part of OBX. We house sat for them and only took care of their plants and property. They were very gracious to let us use their amenities like their hottub and paddle boards. Their house was walking distance from the sunset and sunrise portion of the beach. They were very welcoming and flexible in terms of arrival and departure times. We highly recommend this house sit and we would be happy if we could housesit for them in the future!

Mark and Trudi are a wonderful couple and hosts! I feel so blessed to have had the opportunity to have met them and stayed in their beautiful home. They are organized and clean. A thorough welcome guide is available and they available any time for questions and to supply pictures/updates. They also ensure your well fed from upon arrival to departure. I had a ball with little Fritz trying to chase squirrels and his feline brother Herbie. Herbie is into everything, is a lover, and makes it clear what part of the bed your allowed to sleep on. I will miss you all, thank you.😊

My husband and I were very fortunate to have been selected by Mark & Trudi to care for their fur kids, Fritz and Herbie :). Mark & Trudi were very welcoming and gracious hosts, treating us to a wonderful dinner and welcome gifts (from Herbie & Fritz) upon arrival- which was very thoughtful, generous and appreciated! We arrived 2 days before their departure and they were kind enough to show us around, which was very helpful orienting us to the area. Their home is lovely and comfortable, with beautiful landscaping, a serene oasis. We are definitely missing the private outdoor shower and jacuzzi hot tub!Their home is walking distance from both the sound and ocean beach access. They also made available their Jeep and many recreational toys to enjoy during our 3 week stay. Communication with Mark and Trudi was great throughout with clear instructions given on pet and home care. Best of all was getting to spend time with their babies, Fritz and Herbie. They both have so much personality and watching them play together was very entertaining! They are very friendly and loving, especially Fritz who is still a puppy and a total cuddle buddy, while Herbie will join you for a nap :) It was our pleasure getting to know Mark, Trudi and their sweet “kids”. We definitely hope our paths will cross again in the future!

Denise is a great communicator. Gave updates including pictures daily. She was very respectful of our home. Our home was spotless upon our return. Our fur babies had a difficult time transitioning while we were away, having accidents frequently. Our fur babies never before exhibited having accidents, this could possibly be due to anxiety and separation. Overall our pets were safe and very happy when we got home.

Pennee and Bill are AMAZING! Prior to our three week trip we had the pleasure to meet Pennee and Bill in person. They are a very sweet and personable couple. Our cat and dog instantly bonded with them. During the pet sit our cat, Herbie required on going medication for an injured paw. Pennee as a Registered Nurse was able administered the medication and upon our return home Herbie was better than new. Our dog Fritz is a little over a year old and requires a lot of attention. Pennee and Bill ensureed he received lots of loving; including car rides and walks on the beach. We are advite gardeners with many potted plants that require frequent watering. Pennee and Bill took great care tending to our garden. While away we suffered a tropical storm which created a large mess with broken branches and leaves. Bill cut the lawn and raked up the entire property. On the day we got home the yard looked better than the day we left. Our actual home was also spotless. It is very obvious to us how respectful Pennee and Bill treated our home. Pennee and Bill are Great communicators, they sent numerous updates and photos of our fur babies during our holiday. Pennee and Bill were also very flexible with their pet stay. They stayed at our home with our fur babies until they knew we were safe at home. This gesture and flexibility relieved our fears of being stuck by unreliable airline flights. We are extremely happy and grateful for Pennee and Bill 's house sitting. They are good wonderful people. If you get the opportunity to have them stay at your home and take care of your fur babies don't hesitate to choose them as your pet sitters. We now consider them friends for life.
