Easy doggo in the center of Girona! Cycling mecca with a free snuggle buddy

Hi, my name is Morgan. I'm from Seattle, Washington USA, but have been living in Girona, Spain for almost a year now. I have a bright two bedroom, one bathroom home in the center of town or the old town! Walking distance to absolutely anything you could need (certainly no car needed) and 8 minute walk to the train station. Great spot in the heart of Girona :) The apartment is a walk up on the second floor, but as an American I'd call it the 3rd. It does require frequent trips up and down the stairs if that's a concern. I promise it's not too bad!

Charley is a very simple creature! A cat, but more snuggly? Things he needs - we walk three times a day, sometimes more if I’m heading somewhere. Morning when I wake up, before breakfast, afternoon and then before bed. Those are the essentials. He eats twice a day morning and evening and also takes meds twice a day AM and PM. The meds are very easy, he likes them and will eat them no problem right from your hand. And that’s it! Snuggles, walks, and whatever else you might get to to. He’s older and small so not really up for big adventures or long walks, but he will happily sit at a cafe on your lap while you sip a beer or hang out for a coffee. He’s EASY!

We had the most fabulous house sit with Morgan and Charley. Right from the get go Morgan provided us with a thorough welcome guide which was super helpful to be able to read up on the sit before arriving. This provided a seamless hand over as Morgan had left a few days earlier, so her friend was there to welcome us and walk us through Charley's requirements. Charley won our hearts immediately and enjoyed going out with us on our daily coffee walks. He was shy to begin with and that showed with him being a little picky with his food, but a couple of days in, he was enjoying his food again. He is the most chilled relaxed little guy I have ever come across and even convinced us that he should be sleeping on the bed. Morgan's apartment is centrally located in the heart of Girona city being only minutes walk from the Old Town, cafe's, restaurants, supermarkets, markets, hiking tracks and biking tracks. Everything you need is on your doorstep. The train station is about a 10 min walk. We found Girona very easy to slip into the lifestyle of all our activities along with enjoying the company of meeting lots of expats. It was a joy to housesit for Morgan, I even had a wee tear in my eye when it came to say goodbye to Charley.
