A seaside retreat with two awesome cats
Introduction
My husband and I live in a sea-side town in NW Washington. I grew up in Seattle and moved to Anacortes in 2019. I started a house plant collection in 2020, and love living in a plant jungle. We have two cats - Bubba and Odie. Bubba is a chill cat who loves snuggles. Odie is a big, sweet chonk of a cat who loves to play and eat food.

We live in a 3 bedroom home on a dead end street. It's nice and quiet with the exception of the neighborhood kids playing on sunny days! Our house is one level - filled with house plants, a piano, and lots of natural light. We have a backyard that is perfect for relaxing. The cats love to explore outside and can go in and out as much as they like during daylight hours.

The cats typically both wake up early and want to be fed and go outside. We let them go outside once it's light out, and keep the cat door open for them to come and go as they please. Odie eats dry food in the laundry room. Bubba likes wet food and eats in the kitchen. Bubba gets wet food 3-4 times a day (meal times breakfast and dinner, and if you are home at lunch time). Indoor Plants probably won't need watering unless we are gone for more than a week. Outdoor plants in the front and back yards will only need watering in the summer. Most of our trips are short - we mainly just need someone to keep the cats company, feed them, and allow them to go in and out a few times! We've found if they are left alone for more than 6-8 hours, they find ways to create a mess in the house.

Everything was very easy. The cats were great, the communications with franny was uncomplicated, the house has been cleaned before we came. The location of the house is great, nice neighborhood and many nereby hikes and gateway to the San Juan islands.

Loved spending time at Frannie’s house. Her 2 kitties are sweat hearts. Will definitely stay here again if I’m coming back to Anacortes.

I had a wonderful stay at Frannie's home in beautiful Anacortes WA. The quiet neighborhood is close to miles of walking trails in the nearby forest, and a short drive to the super cute downtown area with great shops and restaurants. The views of the harbor with Mount Baker beyond were spectacular. But the icing on the cake was having two sweet kitties to snuggle with in Frannie's very comfortable home. Odie is a one-of-a-kind cat who loves his butt pats and tummy rubs. I have never seen a cat roll onto his back then shoot a look that says, "Hey! This tummy isn't going to rub itself..!" What a character! Bubba was a busy boy who mostly stayed to himself while I was there, but both boys are happy to keep you company on the couch in the evening. My sit was a short one but very restorative thanks to the beautiful scenery and two very adorable cats.

Frannie and Cameron’s home is in a nice, quiet neighborhood. It’s very comfortable with plenty of natural light during the day. It’s a short drive or an easy 2 mile walk to downtown Anacortes where there are a bunch of cute shops, pubs and restaurants. The kitties are adorable and fun to play with. Odie is a chunky boy, but he can jump and chase after toys like a kitten. Bubba also likes to play, but he’s a bit shy. Both like to spend time outdoors during the day, but stay indoors overnight. Frannie was great about keeping in touch before and during the sit, and had detailed information prepared for our stay.
