Sweet 20lb mini-AussiPoo in Florida small town looking for cuddles and walks.

Introduction

I love to travel, so it's very important to have a caring person in my home for my sweet dog, Chutney. She enjoys walks around our quiet, one-entrance neighborhood. Ocala is a small town with a classic downtown square surrounded by restaurants and shops. The local theater is excellent, and the art museum presents impressive exhibits. Nearby springs and parks offer great festivals, outdoor sports, and activities.

Home & location

My no smoking/vaping one-level 1,847 sqft home has three bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a small fenced yard. It is the perfect size for one or two adults but not for children. Friendly neighbors will welcome you and offer help as needed. There is Wi-Fi, Amazon Prime TV, and a fully equipped kitchen. Ocala, Florida, is a charming small town in north-central Florida's rolling, live oak-covered hills. As "the world's horse capital," Ocala hosts the World Equestrian Center, the largest equestrian complex in the United States. These luxury multi-indoor and outdoor arena facilities host public events year-round. You can also enjoy famous horse farm tours nearby. Take a stroll in Ocala's Historic Downtown Square, the center of the historic district, surrounded by shopping, dining, and nightlife. The Square is a gathering place for concerts and community events like First Friday Art Walks. If you are a beach person, the Gulf beaches (think Crystal River) and Atlantic beaches (Daytona) are just an hour away. Other famous beaches within driving distance include St. Pete Beach, Siesta Key Beach, and Cocoa Beach. Florida's first tourist attraction, Silver Springs, is just down the street, where you can take a Glass-Bottom Boat tour. Several nearby freshwater rivers and springs offer swimming, paddleboarding, canoeing, and kayaking. Ocala boasts a hurricane score of zero and is the eighth safest city in Florida for hurricanes, tropical storms, and flooding, ensuring safety and peace of mind during your stay.

Responsibilities

Chutney is a loving dog who is always ready to play and walk. Our quiet neighborhood is perfect for a daily walk. She is trained to obey standard commands. She sleeps in your bedroom. If you want to take a day off, she can stay at a dog day lodge at my expense. She eats twice a day and has lots of treats from her bark box. She uses the dog door to enter the small fenced backyard. The backyard will need daily disposal of her poop. The front and back yard have irrigation you can turn on for dry spells. I have a few potted plants on the front that need watering. Every Tuesday, trash cans are moved from the side yard to the street for collection. A lawn service maintains the yard.

This was a great sit, Chutney is a darling pup. She walks good, she rides in the car good. She is quite around horses as we walked through the stables at the World Equestrian Center. Cheval is a great host, giving me complete but simple instructions on tending to Chutney and her home. She even gave me daycare time for Chutney when I needed more time away to explore which I took advantage of a couple of days. There’s so much in the area to do this would be a great sit for anyone, I personally would love to do again. Thanks Cheval and Chutney for a great sit. Larry

Cheval is the perfect host. She was clear on all of her instructions and expectations. She communicated regularly while away as we exchanged pics. This made it easy to care for Chutney. Chutney is an adorable, high-energy, playful pup. She loves attention and will play all day. She does know commands. She is great riding in the car and taking walks. My dog Riggs loved playing with her. They got along great. Cheval's home is in a quiet, friendly neighborhood. Her home is comfortable and comes with all that you need to work and relax. The massage chair I am going to miss. Thank you for the opportunity to sit for Chutney. We look forward to coming back in the spring.
