I am retired and love to travel...and I love my pets!! However, they do limit my freedom to travel, so when I found Trusted Housesitters (and pets), I was ecstatic! I'm looking forward to meeting some sitters and finding the perfect match. My dogs are all very friendly and well-behaved. They will also provide a lot of entertainment for you.

Located in Ocala, Florida. OCALA WAS VIRTUALLY UNTOUCHED BY HURRICANE IAN. One level, only one step up into home. Washer and dryer for your use. Extensively updated in the last few years. WalMart, grocery stores and a wide variety of restaurants are within a 1-2 mile drive. Neighborhood is quiet and safe with only one entrance/exit, very little traffic. Standard (no gears) bicycle you are welcome to use for exercise or short errands. Two community pools,, with the larger one less than a block away. 1 or 2 hour drive to either coast. Kayaks for your use. Horse country, rolling hills, scenic farms. Fun downtown square, performing arts center, entertainment, bike and walking trails. UNTOUCHED BY HURRICANE IAN.

My dogs are all low maintenance. They just require feeding twice a day, a little scratching and letting out in the fenced backyard as needed. They entertain themselves (and you) and sleep a lot! My neighborhood is very safe and quiet, so taking them for walks is easy and pleasant (but not required). The dogs are good to be left alone 7-8 hours so you can enjoy all that Ocala and surrounding areas offer.

Maria was such a welcoming hostess. She immediately and throughout my stay made me feel at home. Her fur babies, each with their own unique personalities we such great company during my stay. The neighborhood was the PERFECT 55+ community with friendly yet respectful neighbors. EVERYTHING you could possibly want/need was close by.

This was an awesome sit! Boo and Rolly were very easy to care for and great company. Maria was very generous and warm and appreciative and left us clear instructions. She was very responsive on her trip when we needed her help accessing the facilities on the property and even offered to mail us some things that we had accidentally left behind. Would definitely recommend!!

Maria was a pleasure to meet and did an excellent job explaining what needed to be done. Home is very comfortable and nicely located for getting out and exploring the area. Rolly, Boo and Charlie all have unique personalities with Rolly very laid back to Boo with an enormous amount of energy and Charlie in between. We did have a hard time getting a good nights sleep the first couple of nights as the dogs were a bit restless in the bedroom at night-but they eventually became used to us and settled down. Overall it was a great sit.

Maria lives in a wonderful treed neighborhood where Cheri and I enjoyed walking around chatting with neighbors and spotting the blue heron that lives near the waterfall. The large clubhouse offered shuffleboard, a library and pool. We amused ourselves perusing through the books and DVDs, and putting our feet in the hot tub. We happened to be there for the annual community garage sale so we also had the chance to search for treasures. Each of her three dogs has a very different personality. Boo is very high energy so we had to make sure one of us held him so that Charlie could get his cuddles. Rolly is too cool to let Boo bother him, but will compete with him for the squeaky ball. The two little dogs slept in the bed with us which was a great treat.
