Get to know the best region of Provence with two fun and well-behaved dogs
Introduction
Hi. We are Marc (60) and Manon (57). Manon is an artist who works in acrylic, oil, watercolor, and mixed media. Marc is a teacher and executive coach. This house in the forest is a very special place to us. We were married here in 1995, and just celebrated our oldest son‘s wedding here in 2024. Having adapted our lives to work remotely after Covid, we live here half the year.

You will be staying in the master suite (aka the room the dogs are used to sleeping in) of a spacious home with a modern kitchen and bathrooms, on a property that includes views of the Luberon (to the South) and the Mont Ventoux (to the north), gardens, terraces, a pool, and walking trails through the quiet, surrounding forest. Our home is a 5 min walk from the charming village of Goult, with its medieval streets, excellent bakery, cheese shop, grocery store, cafe, pizzeria, and three gourmet restaurants. The Luberon valley is well-known for authentic farmers' and producers’ markets, its hilltop villages, historical sites, art shows, concerts, and gourmet food, as well as for its spectacular cycling, mountain biking, and hiking. While some of the valley’s better known villages—like Gordes, Menerbes and Roussillon—get overwhelmed with tourists in the summer, Goult has remained a lively, balanced community with no tour busses and a year-round population.
Show more...Responsibilities
The dogs are walked and fed twice a day... . Walking can be on one of trails leaving directly from the house or departing from trailheads that are a short drive away. Leia (3 years) is very healthy and active and can go on walks of up to 4 hours. Zopa (13 years) gets out of breath and should probably not go out for longer than 45 mins, especially on a hot day. (Also, he can be OK with one walk a day). They eat kibble: Zopa gets one scoop, Leia two... plus they have something to make it more appetizing, e.g. a bit of chicken (we will provide the topping). If you go out and leave them behind, you just need to enclose them in the master bedroom suite and put some things on the bed to discourage Zopa from climbing on it.
