Minneapolis Retreat with One Purrrfect Lady

Hello! My name is Meghan and I'm a photographer living in Minneapolis, MN. I have two elderly cats that are my heart. I love to travel, especially in the winter. Ironically, i tend to "escape" winter to go on winter get aways - i'm an avid snowboarder! Because of my cats age, i feel much better leaving her, knowing that someone is there to care for her in the house. She isn't high maintenance or anything, but has particular tastes and I don't want her to feel neglected when i am traveling. I'm hoping there is someone out there who fits the bill and is looking for a great get-away in good ole, Minneapolis, MN!

I have a lovely story and half, 3 br, 2 bath Bungalow in South Minneapolis. I'm just 10 minutes from uptown and downtown, 15 from the airport, and 18 from the Mall of America. My house comes fully loaded with high speed (fiber) internet, all the streaming platforms you could ever want, a gas fireplace, treadmill, 2 bathrooms, 2 bedrooms, 1 office, and 2 adorable cats. You are welcome to stay in either bedroom in my home. I live a block off the bus line if public transportation is your thing and there is tons to do in the area. Such as... -Checking out a classic film at the local theater 10 blocks away (the Parkway theater). This little pocket of mpls charm is located at 48th & chicago avenue and is making a delightful covid comeback. -Visiting the Mall of America. Alllll the shopping you could ever hope for -Touring one of several museums (the walker art center is my personal favorite) - Checking out the bustling North Loop Neighborhood in Mpls where you'll find loads of swanky bars and brewery's. -walking the Minnehaha Creek (just 10 blocks away). This gorgeous creek is a feast for the eyes and soul every time of year. -Exploring the chain of lakes in minnie - there's several to choose from! Bde Mka Ska, Lake of the Isles, Lake Harriet to name a few!

My little lady is pretty low maintenance though she does have particularities. Lucy can't live without her breakfast! She will patiently wait for it to be made and is sometimes very vocal about it. She also needs to go outside at least once a day. She was formerly an alley cat and i've found that if she doesn't maintain a certain sense of freedom, she gets ornery.

Lucy and Lilu are great pets . They both loves to play. Lucy is hilarious.They both have Unique personalities. The house is at great location with near some great walks and some hole in the wall Authentic food spots. I felt safe and welcomed .Owner is very kind. I highly recommend this sit to anyone.

We had a wonderful sit at Meghan's with her two sweet girls. Lilu and Lucy were laid back and easy to care for. Meghan left detailed instructions and was easy to reach if we had questions. Lilu LOVED to be brushed all the time. She purred and rubbed against the brush and never said she was tired of it. Lucy did take a day to be comfortable. Then she loved getting pets and purring and she loved playing with her feather on a stick toy. Letting Lucy out when she wanted to go outside was no problem at all. Lucy sticks to the fenced in backyard easily. Lilu even went out to sit on her heated chair on the porch. Meghan's neighborhood is nice to walk around in and it is so close to so many great places to dine at. We would recommend sitting for Lilu and Lucy. They are the sweetest! We would sit for them again anytime.

My stay at Meghan’s house was great! Lucy and Lilu are adorable and easy to take care of and Meghan provides super clear instructions in her guide (along with local area recommendations). Her house is beautifully decorated and I felt right at home. Location wise - it’s a 10-15 minute drive to downtown. Public transport is available, with a few buses to downtown that take 30-45 minutes and bus connecting to the blue light rail (airport + Mall of America) about 15-20 minutes (check the stops and schedules ahead of time). Meghan was very appreciative of the daily picture check ins I provided. I recommend this visit!

Lilu and Lucy were a joy to watch. They’re both such sweethearts - I miss them already! Meghan’s home is adorable, and made such a peaceful, cozy place to spend a cold winter week. If you have the chance to spend some time with these sweet kitties, don’t pass it up!
