15 night house sit with 2 cats in large house near Providence, Rhode Island
Introduction
I'm a travel blogger that travels multiple times a month. Some times, my husband and/or daughter come along and we need to leave our beloved cats, Peanut and Rey, at home. For longer trips, we prefer to have someone stay to provide the extra love and attention they need when we are away.

We live in a quiet suburb, about 20 minutes outside of the "Creative Capital" of Providence, Rhode Island, with a vibrant food and arts scene, and an hour south of Boston. We have a two-story, three bedroom, 2.5 bath Colonial with a bonus exercise/playroom. There is a nice-sized backyard, with a patio and outdoor kitchen. We are about 45 minutes to one hour from the Rhode Island beaches and Newport. We have high speed Internet and Apple TV in the living room and main bedroom with subscriptions to MAX, Apple TV+, Netflix, and Hulu. The large playroom is also equipped with a tv with an Amazon Firestick, Peloton bike, and NordicTrak incline treadmill. You will have access to the full house and primarily use the guest room, second bedroom, and guest bath. However, accommodations can be made for larger families to use the main bedroom and bathroom. The kitchen has a fridge, gas stove top, microwave, toaster oven, double ovens, and an espresso maker, along with all the pots, pans, plates, glasses, utensils and supplies for a gourmet kitchen. There is also a dishwasher, electric kettle, food processor, and blender. Pet sitters can make full use of pantry supplies and whatever is in the fridge and freezer. There is a washer and dryer in the unfinished basement.

Peanut is an early-bird and he persists on being fed around 7-8 am if you are staying in the home. Don't worry, he will wake you up. He can be a bit of a cranky old man but he also loves lap cuddles once he warms up to you. He is on two medications and he gets .25 of Amlodipine in the morning, in liquid form, mixed with a little bit of wet food. Once he finishes that, he gets the rest of the can. Rey is overweight and tries to eat Peanut's food so you need to keep an eye on it. She gets a scoop of diet dry food in the morning. In the evening (they think supper is anywhere from 5-7 pm), Peanut gets .25 ml of PrednisoLONE mixed with a tiny bit of wet food and one he finishes that, he gets the rest of the can. Rey gets her own can in a separate bowl. They drink from the water fountain that need refilling and cleaning from time to time. Keep an eye on it to make sure it is operating properly. The litter boxes are in the basement. We use a litter genie, which needs to be emptied about once a week when it is full. The garbage and recycling bins go to the curb on Sunday nights for pick up on Monday and are returned to the garage on Monday. The cats can get treats when you go out and if Peanut is hungry midday, it is good to encourage him to eat a little more by offering treats or some more food because he is skinny and needs to put on weight. Otherwise, I'd prefer if the house is left as you found it, ideally with sheets/towels washed and put away.
