Great house with loving kitty near Lake Chapala
Introduction
We are a retired couple living in Mexico since 2021. Traveling to other places a few times a year is what we enjoy. We have a cat, some plants, and hummingbirds to tend to while we are away. For the last few years we have been members of HomeExchange.com, so we are familiar with this process and have had great success. We are clean freaks, and you will find our home very comfortable and inviting. Muñeca, our cat, is a doll and very well behaved. Located in the gated community of Agua Escondida, in Ixtlahuacan de los Membrillos, Jalisco, Mexico. Our house has a large yard, a pool, ample parking and is gated for security. Although the neighborhood is quite safe. There is new appliances including a range, fridge, washer and dryer and a number of small kitchen appliances for your convenience. The pool is easy to maintain and refreshing in the afternoons when it is a real feel in the high 80's usually. We have filtered water, high speed internet, Netflix, Amazon prime, Hulu and a firestick that has HBO, Showtime and many other options of channels to watch. Our bedroom is huge and has two comfortable recliners and a 65 inch tv to enjoy with great theatre sound. If you want to explore the outdoors, we have a pool, nearby hiking areas, and are 15 minutes from Lake Chapala. Guadalajara is also nearby. Only 20 minutes to the airport, and 40 minutes to centro. You will have the country, lake, mountains and city all within minutes surrounding you.

Muñeca (Moony) is up at 6:30 every morning and acts as if she is starving to death. Of course there is still food in her bowl, but you have to give her some food if you want to go back to sleep or she will be relentless. Same at 6:30 pm. She has this weird internal clock! She is very lovey, and will sit in your lap if you like, and loves chin and ear rubs. She has a strange sponge fetish. She carries them around and talks to them and plays and fights with them until they are destroyed. We have lots of plants outside. Depending on the time of year, they may need to be watered. If the length of stay is more than 5 days, there will be some maintenance of the pool needed. It is very minimal and easy to do. We do not have a cleaning person, so it would be up to you to keep the home as you found it.
