Experienced Parrot sitter needed

Introduction

Aloha! We are located in Manassas, VA, in a 4 bedroom house with a large yard and wooded area. We have two geriatric parrots who occasionally need loving care from others when we cannot be home to dote on their every need, as at least they have grown to expect. In addition to financial compensation, we can offer the use of our home and facilities when you pet sit and watch our house. Home & location

We have 4 beds total and normally offer the guest master bedroom that includes an en suite bathroom to our sitters, though you are welcome to other rooms at your preference. Our home is on a quiet cul de sac in a fairly secluded neighborhood. All the house lots are around 1-2 acres, much of which is woodland. There are many grocery stores, other shops, restaurants and bars within a 5-10 minute drive, and it is possible to walk to some (though sidewalks are not continuous). In the house, we have high capacity internet, DirecTV as well as the capacity to run apps on Smart TVs. There is an exercise room in the basement, including a far-infrared sauna that are available for use. We have multiple seating areas outside, including a screened patio, a covered front porch, and an open area stone patio.

Responsibilities

Main responsibility will be daily feeding and watering for both birds, to include seeds, water, produce (e.g., grapes & celery) along with some medication added to food. Birds papers in the bottom of each cage need to be changed not less than twice weekly. All can be accessed from hatches outside the cages. Secondary duties include general house-sitting and occasional refilling of outside feeders for wild birds.
