Dog Sit in Small Mountain Town of Southern California
Introduction
Hi, I'm Dan. I'm a retired engineer and I have occasional travel trips. Usually 2 to 3 days per month and one long 2 week vacation travel during September. I have multiple dogs mostly small dogs and 1 big dog. They are very friendly and easy going.

I live in a small mountain town in Southern California that is very close to a ski resort (Mountain High). The town is small and quaint and a very nice tourist attraction. There are plenty of hiking trails off Highway 2 to explore. Only 65 miles east of Downtown Los Angeles. My home is 2 stories, approx 2000 square feet with most of the living space upstairs. My dogs stay downstairs when I'm away. Guest can either stay downstairs in a large guest bedroom or use the entire upstairs living room where there are reclining sofas, TV, kitchen in an open floor plan. There is also 1 extra guest bedroom upstairs. Guest are welcome anywhere in the house. Upstairs opens up to a very large open deck with BBQ Grill. There is also a deck in the backyard with BBQ Grill. Backyard is small and hilly but does have small hottub. Dogs stay upstairs with me most time when I'm home and usually downstairs by themselves when I'm away. There is a doggy door downstairs where they come and go from the house into a small outside enclosed area to do their business. Doggy door must be closed at night and dogs inside due to mountain lions which are rare but possible. Overall, much like an AirBnB with dogs. Very peaceful but a little bit remote.
Show more...Responsibilities
Feed them once a day. Because of multiple dogs, I will need to show you the process I use to feed them. Clean up after them. They poop outside in the doggy designated area or on the upper deck so you must clean poop from deck and use garden hose to water down urine. Make sure they are indoor and doggy door is shut and look during evening hours due to possible mountain lion activity. Just hang out with them at least a few hours a day and that's basically it. They keep themselves company but they love the company of others.

I loved being up in the mountains with Dans 5 four leggeded wonders. It was a handful of personalities. At times that was too much for one person. So I recommend that you have a friend to share the duties.
