Who will look after our lovely dog and water our plants when on holiday?

We are a retired couple. I was a stained glass artist and had my own business for many years and my husband is a Professor at Edinburgh University. We have a well behaved 8 year old Dalmatian dog which needs walking and lots of plants to water. We like travelling but can't always take the dog with us, not to mention our pot plants!

A modern spacious semi with a garden in a small development in Loanhead, just outside Edinburgh with two bedrooms, two studies, three bathrooms, open plan hall dining area, sitting room and a large garden room/kitchen. Central heating. The sitter will be staying in our guest room. There is a good bus service within ten minutes walk and it is only 5 miles to the centre of Edinburgh. Parking at the front of the house and a small garden at the back overlooking fields and countryside. Loanhead has a few local shops and IKEA, Sainsbury, ASDA, M&S Tkmaxx, etc. are at the other end of Loanhead, about 2km from the house. Pentlands Hills are within 10 minutes drive and lovely beaches within half an hour's drive.

Feed and walk Tiffany, our 8 year old Dalmatian. She is well behaved and can be left on her own for half a day at a time or an evening as long as she gets two 45 min. walks a day in nearby fields or woods. We also have lots of pot plants in the garden room which need water every couple of days. A few outside pots might need to be watered too.

Our first THS sit went very well thanks to Britta, David and Tiffany. We all met up prior to our sit to ensure we were a good fit. Britta and David welcomed us into their beautiful home the evening before our sit began. David showed us their regular walks and Britta made us a delicious meal. They ensured we were going to be comfortable with lovely little touches, which was greatly appreciated. Tiffany was a joy to look after. She is very beautiful and has such a good nature you just want to cuddle her all the time (which I did). We miss her already. We would be happy to return and care for Tiffany.
