Cat sitters March - April 2023

Introduction

We are a retired couple with 2 indoor/outdoor cats (age 12 1/2). We enjoy traveling and employ a local, wonderful cat sitter, as a drop in, for short travels. We'll be away for 6 weeks this spring so would like to have a sitter staying at our home with our babies. We don't expect to find a sitter to stay the entire 6 weeks (although that would be ideal), maybe several different sitters for a week or two each.

Home & location

We live in a historic district within a city, our home was built in 1912, has four bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, back deck, and tree house. Cultural events are available within the area, five universities are located here and walking around the area is safe and encouraged, our neighborhood enjoys a large park with a playground at one end. Our city is approximately 3 hours from the mountains and 4 hours from a beach, centrally located within the state.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibility is loving our kitties! The cats go outside as they like (we do NOT have a cat door) weather permitting, they have us well trained, they're in and out multiple times a day. Both cats are shy around strangers/visitors at first but warm up fairly quickly. We keep litter boxes in the laundry room and upstairs bathroom so keeping them inside during inclement weather isn't a problem. Neither of the cats take any medication. They share a can of wet food each morning and evening and have access to dry food at all times. Watering our numerous house plants will also be appreciated.
